SDCC 2007- Marvel Edition.

Nah, look at Morg, he pops up in here every blue moon and does something mod worthy, and leaves. For example his famous:

"This thread already exists" posts, but he doesn't actually bother deleting or merging them.

And Dew has popped up in here once to ban some poor noob.
I remember one time when Not Jake and somebody were name calling each other, and Morg popped up to tell them to knock it off.

Everybody just starred at him in shock.

Which is really quite a feat over the internet.

Indeed.

Maybe you shouldn't argue semantics for 3 pages? Just a thought.

Maybe you shouldn't turn everything into a 3 page discussion on semantics.

Yeah, well, until I get banned I'm posting whatever I damn well please. I come to the Hype to relax and have some fun conversations, not rigidly stick to exactly whatever each thread is about.

And that sums up the Bible of the Hype.

I don't think anyone even that *****e Hippy is asking that. But you have to realize that 3 pages about James marsden's sexuality in the bought/thought thread is not the place to have that discussion. We go off on tangents, but make them logical tangents. If we're in the Spider-Man thread and we start talking about a book one of the writers did in the past, that's a logical tangent. If we start talking about Lindsay Lohan being a cokehead, that is not.

Once again, if someone wants to bring the thread back on topic, all they have to do is make an on-topic post instead of whining about how we go off topic and making passive-aggressive extra threads, thereby cluttering the boards even more. I switch back to the topic at hand if someone posts something relevant, but usually threads will just sit around and decay if nobody's posting random crap. It's not like there would've been a flood of reviews if James Marsden hadn't come up in the Bought/Thought thread--it always ends up being a bunch of reviews on the first few pages, then random nonsense with a few reviews thrown in by stragglers, or it just fades into obscurity. No harm is being done by derailing the thread when the thread would just languish uselessly if it weren't derailed. :o

Either way, BrianWilly is to blame for bringing up Hairspray.

yes,.. Hurt myself yesterday so I won't be there at the busiest days of he con,.. but will go back sunday for my commissioned Squirrel-Girl art,...

Did you wanna elaborate on what panels are scheduled?

I think there's supposed to be a panel to discuss the full creative teams of the new ASM post-OMD today. Here's hoping Jeph Loeb and J. Scott Campbell are one of the teams.

Is that today? Of all them, I'm more interested in hearing that news. And I'd forgotten about the Loeb/Campbell mini. You're right, maybe that'll get worked into the regular series instead.

If Loeb can write something up to Spider-Man: Blue quality, I will be a very happy man. I agree, that's probably the news I'm most eagerly anticipating, too.

Why would you ever wish J. Scott Campbell on any character, let alone Spider-Man? :(

Well, it's more for Loeb than Campbell, but I knew that they already had a project going on Spidey already, and if it was an ongoing that could be good. I've only really seen Campbell's covers for Spidey, but I think he drew a good Spider-Man.

His Spider-Man is actually pretty good. Sure, he's made his money on boobs, but he's turned himself into quite the talented cover artist, at least.

Yes, the Unverse, where everything is much more accessible than 616.
