ive hear many rumors, wants, needs...

If Freeman and Pitt return...IM THERE. the first is fantastic.

id rather it stay as is...but if a sequel were to be...like im assuming will happen with the amount of oldschool sequels...what do you want? and if you simply dont want a sequel, please say so, and state why without flaming...no need for it...

in a sequel, i want to see how the effects of Se7en affect Brad Pitt's character... Freemans character dealing with it...and of course, a crazy ass murderer....ive heard rumors of a 10 commandments type killer, but that wouldnt be Se7en would it?

Your sig is incorrect. The quote goes "the world is a fine place..."

And no to a sequel. What happens to the characters in our heads is much better than anything they could bring. That mystery of not knowing their fates adds to the sense of doom and despair that came with the ending.

:woot:

I think the movie is perfectly fine without a sequel, but if it's a good concept, well-written, and Pitt and Freeman return, I might give it a shot.

I want a usual suspects sequel that isn't really a sequel. Just a film about a cop trying to find Soze. The events of the usual suspects would be mentioned in passing during a scene and Soze would be treated a rumor.

It would be directed by someone besides Singer so that it would have it's own look and feel while still being in the same universe as the original film. Spacey wouldn't be back because we would NEVER see Soze or even get and proof that he is real.

The only character he would return would possibly be Kobayashi in a small cameo using a different name.

I'm fine without a sequel. But if a seven sequel does happen, David Fincher has to direct it. If he doesn't, I won't bother

Why would you ruin the original with a sequel?!

David Mills was placed in cuffs and carted off to jail at the end of Se7en, so I don't see what Brad Pitt would have to do in a sequel, aside from brooding in prison.

John Doe... he's dead, Jim. Spacey can't reprise that role.

Somerset could always solve another murder I guess, but I doubt they could come up with another story equal to the first one.

It's not worth doing, imo.

I can see why people would want to see more of Somerset, and Mills after the conclusion of Se7en. As those characters are indeed interesting, and would normally deserve to be brought back to the silver screen again. But I have to agree with the concensus, in that clearly the relationships between the characters would be no doubt altered to the point that it may very well be enough to warrant not even considering making a sequel (considering Mills murdering John Doe). And the lack of Kevin Spacey being able to reprise the role he was quite excellent in for the sequel doesnt exactly get one excited about the possibility of another installment of Se7en I must say.

So you want a completly different film, with a different cast, different director, and different look? I think they made that movie already; it was called Space Jam.

temporary insanity was always my assumption of it...

this thread can surely be closed right?

There's no reason for a sequel, why ruin an already great movie with a sequel. If one did happen don't expect any of the original cast to return and it to go directly to DVD

fixed.

I think you need to re-read my post and stop being such a jackass. Space Jam was not about a cop trying to find Keyser Soze and it clearly did not exist in the same universe as The Usual Suspects, there was also no mention to the events of The Usual Suspects in Space Jam.

That in my opinion would make a great film which would expand the world of "The Usual Suspects"

these type of films generally dont have sequels .

true

usually peeps just call the next film the director makes in the same style a kind of sequel

that would be terrible :(

they should just start a franchise... have pitt and freeman be like riggs and murtough... oh no wait thats a terrible idea... almost as bad as a sequel to a movie that is based around its incredible ending.

Because people are greedy and now want a sequel to every movie ever made.
