So is Nora bi? lesbian?
Does it matter which one? She at least likes girls. I suppose it's a reflection upon Arrow; William (Ollie's son in the future) has an attraction to guys, so he's at least bi too.

In any case, I kinda' hate the way all these shows need to push the LGBT element with all of their shows.

Do you think Iris took your powers away because she was afraid of losing you like she did Barry?
It's either that, or future Iris was concerned that Nora would do exactly what she's done and go back in time and unintentionally cause a paradox.

Really? So i guess impulse (Bart Allen) does not exist in this version.
We don't know that Nora is a Lesbian though, she could be Bi, in which case she could meet a guy at some point, or, as @Slick has stated, they could switch up the timeline and have Bart as Wally's son.

I am surprised thay they made both Oliver's and Barry's kids gay though. Just doesn't feel natural about it.
Lately, I'm not. They've been throwing Sara's sexuality in our faces with the previous season of Legends. It stands to reason the other shows would play catch-up. They'll be a scene between Sara and Nora before long. Ugh.

Then that would make Impulse Bart West as opposed to being Bart Allen and one of the character's defining traits has always been that he is Barry Allen's Grandson.
Maybe Wally has a kid who is later adopted by Barry (or another member of the Allen family) thus Bart West becomes Bart Allen?

Read some interesting comments on Facebook earlier, so I take no credit for the observations. Firstly, Nora's scar is in the same place as the one that Cicada has; that can't be a coincidence. Also, what prompted Nora to know about her powers? The running (pun) theory is that it was Eobard Thawne who told Nora about the chip (and in turn, her powers) and also the one who prompted her to go back in time and change the past (again); presumably to ensure his own survival somehow.

I really hope they get to Bart/ Impulse at some point. as long as they don't just do it to make some lame Simpsons joke. also, man did Candice Patton look good in that baseball uniform.

Finally a scene with Joe at least standing up.

Ralph not being dumb was nice to see.

Meta tech is an interesting approach to doing things slightly different from before. But we can see at least with Cicada, he’s pretty much like a regular metahuman with that thing in his body.

I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like whatever it was that Nora had issues with. Not particularly because of the reason but because they had Nora acting like a fool towards a younger version of the Iris she knows. Also how they have her act younger than her age doesn’t help things for me.

I don’t even care if we learn the reason future Iris suppressed Nora’s powers.

Kinda' questionable; he was leaning against a wall. It's odd, you'd think there'd be an official release if there was something going on with him, unless the guy doesn't want his personal life discussed so has opted not to release a statement or something?

This episode was okay. It's nice to see Ralph doing some detective work and I hope we see more of Ralph being a detective in future episodes. I have a feeling that future Iris must have a good reason on suppressing Nora powers and I hope we get a reason on why she ultimately decided to make this choice. I believe that Eobard Thawne was the one who told Nora that she has powers and he was the one that persuaded her to go back to the past.

Damn I missed Cisco in this episode and Joe is finally standing, yay!

It's funny seeing folks being triggered by Nora being bi/lesbian in the Youtube comments. I mean it doesn't effect your life seeing gay folks on your tv screen, some folks are making it into a bigger deal than it actually is.

Jesse most likely just had knee surgery or something along those lines. Iris said why Joe wasn't playing in the softball game but I can't remember what it was

Of course in the end it doesn't matter but I still want to know how she identifies herself so we can hold the writers accountable accordingly like with Sara.

The Arrowverse has like 5 LGBTQ characters out of 20+ straight characters so I don't see that as pushing especially in this case where it flowed naturally.

What was the deal with Cisco? Is this a new salary savings method?

True, but at least he was up.

Putting out some kind of release isn’t standard. It would probably only happen in extreme cases like if the star of a show or movie got hurt and that would greatly affect production. It’s like when actresses get pregnant and they simply just shoot around it if they don’t want to include pregnancy into the storyline.

Again not trying to make a big deal of the issue.

Just wanted to point out that, unless my math is off, I believe there are more than just 5 characters:

1. Sara
2. Alex
3. Ava
4. Constantine
5. Citizen Cold
6. Captain Singh
7. Pied Piper
8. Nyssa
9. William Queen
10. Black Lightning's Daughter
11. The Ray
12. I can't remember thr name, but it's the newest character on Supergirl who is being billed as the first transsexual superhero.
13. Maggie Sawyer
14. (Upcoming) Batwoman

Well from what I have seen, it seems like there are quite a few who would have preferred for Nora to be straight due to minor reasons (i.e. avoiding similarities with Arrow due to it being revealed that William is gay, etc.)

Personally, i could care less. I just want Impulse/Bart Allen to exist. I am not talking about someone adopting the Allen name. I want the grandson of Barry Allen to be Impulse.

Yeah I too personally care less about Nora or Williams's sexual preferences. I love Bart Allen but I doubt that we will see him until at least season 7 of the Flash due the fact we already have a relative from the future with Nora.

I think Supergirl handled it well. I'm not LGBT but introducing multiple LGBT characters quickly must feel a bit condescending. I actually liked what they did with Nora and how they didn't make a big deal out of it, but I don't watch Arrow. Hearing they did the same thing on that show just seems a bit cringey to me now.

OK ep anyway, curious to find who is pulling Nora's strings.

13 (BL isnt Arrowverse) but Curtis would make it 14. Either way.... wow, let me list all the straight characters the universe has. I can guarantee its over 100. And out of these 14, 5 are actually full time cast members. Those who are so against the Flarrowverse having more then 2 gay characters when they are still greatly outnumbered is weird to me (not refereeing to you btw)

How is introducing multiple LGBTQ characters across 4 shows condescending? Is there supposed to be a quota of how many the verse can introduce in a single season.

From what I have read and gathered, it seems like people generally did not have any qualms about the first set of LGBT characters that were introduced in the Arrowverse (i.e. Sara, Nyssa, Pied Piper, etc.)

If I am interpreting things right, it appears as though the problems that some people are having with our newest batch of LGBT charcaters are that they don't see it being as natural/seemless of an inclusion as before. Theu also seem to believe that the network and producers are more invested in the idea of meeting a quota of having a new LGBT character for the sake of having one as opposed to just telling a good story that happens to involve a LGBT character.

Maybe. I feel like some people are like "I was fine with the shows having LGBT characters that we saw 2-3 times a year but having more then 3!?!?! Blasphemous!"

William/Nora/whatshername on SG were all very seemless with their outings. Yeah it is funny and interesting that both Arrow/Flash made their leads kids gay but I dont get quota out of it. These stories arent about them being gay, it just happens to be who they are. The shows arent making a big deal out of it, the fans are.

Well I definitely do not speak for anyone else here but if I am to be honest, if I had a choice in the matter then I would have probably preferred for Nora to be the only straight one here (out of the new characters introduced this season for all of the shows) partially because I just find it kind of cliche that every titular superhero who is a parent ended up all having a LGBT kid.lol

It isn't a case where I do not like LGBT people but I just can't help but find myself wishing that Nora was at least attracted towards men. Which is why I would not mind if it were to be revealed later on that she is bisexual like Sara. Of course I would be lying if I said that my view was not partially motivated by my desire to see Impulse exist but you already knew that.haha

These LGBT characters are on every single show; I'd say that's throwing it in our faces, or at least unnecessarily highlighting the fact that LGBT people exist, not just in the superhero world, but in the real world before.

We know about this, just as we know straight people exist. The CW seems to be the network where they must include a LGBT character in as many shows as possible so that they aren't called on for discrimination or something stupid like that (the way the world is going they'd probably lose some case over it).

There's no need to have a LGBT character on EVERY show; it's unnecessary promotion.

There's still ample ways for Bart Allen to exist; Barry & Iris could have had more than one daughter? Bart Allen could be from a different Earth, maybe one where Barry never became a speedster, but he (Bart) did? Maybe the Legends (or Barry/Nora) change the future to one where Bart suddenly flashes  into existence?

This is it exactly, at least for me. I obviously don't speak for everyone. It's almost as though the CW wants to cover every possible audience member, and they're afraid of being called out for not doing.

Anyone happen to recall the name of the LGBT characters in the MCU? No? I didn't think so.

Just finished watching the episode about 30 minutes ago and I didn't care for this episode much may be the worst episode for this seasons so far. I hope this is not the start of the show going down again. I thought last seasons started great and than started getting worse after like the mid seasons final. The first 4 episodes of this season I thought where great but this episode was very so so even though it looked good from the previews and next episode just looks like a filier episode. The whole Nora thing just felt forced and stupid that Barry and Iris would say there was a good reason for what iris did. Maybe we will find out later in the seasons why iris did that and maybe it will be a good reasons by right now it just fells forced. The whole fight with Bary and Nora was odd like why did Barry go back words? That made like zero sinces. Was it just bad editing/effects or what? The Nora liking women thing I dont like. I swear in real life all the attractive women are either taken or to old/to young or dont like men and now in the show the women I am attracted to is into women come on. I know its just a show but man even if real life a attractive women around my age cant be single and not bi or something?

I know I have mentioned this before, but the CW can't represent EVERYBODY unless they have at least ONE legitimately disabled actor.
As for Nora, she could be bi, but given the Bart thing, she was a bad choice to make LGBT. just for story reasons.

So having LGBT characters on TV is wrong and they should stay in their corner. Got it.

Well you haven't understood a single word I've said. I've been very specific in saying they don't need to be on EVERY show.

I ask you, why should every single show go out of it's way to include a LGBT character, huh? Tell me that!
