Season 6, Episode 9 "Battle of the Bastards" Discussion Thread

ORRRRR

Maybe her greyscale didn't burn :o :o :wow:

*Reek Goes to Hell*

I clicked watch and it wouldn't load. I am happy for that. I don't think I could handle watching it twice in a week. :waa:

goddamn thats hard to watch...

I can see her tossing that toy away as she is in a fit from the flames... the toy surviving the fire, im with marvolo... I'll buy it.

I still don't have a visible reaction to that scene (its tragic, and sad though). I'm sure it'd be different if they were tastelessly grotesque about it and showed her burning. But as to Mel answering for this - would Davos bring it up before the big battle, or do you think he'd wait until all's settled to bring out his grievances and seek justice for Shireen?

lol

This Sunday's forecast..... SNOW.

i don't remember what the toy was made of. wood?
it's possibly that parts of a toy can survive a fire

also, how come Walder Frey isn't upset that Ramsay had his daughter and grandson murdered? does he even know?

Probably doesn't know and wouldn't care since Roose is dead, meaning his connection to the north is done with.

It was wood. A hardwood toy might survive my fireplace but something bigger...

Ramsay had the maester send ravens out telling everyone that his father and Walda were poisoned by enemies so that's what Walder likely believes.

.

that too...

the wood toy... she threw it at stannis mid burn :o

im not so sure that Walder is dumb enough to believe it. i remember a couple of others not believing the news as well.
he seemed so determined to solidify his standings in the north that i'm kinda surprised he's not upset, but then again, he's got the mess at Riverrun his sons are trying to fix lol.
and he has a daughter married to a Tully. that's about all i know

I don't expect Walder to be around much longer... House Frey in general, I expect is going to be 'House Reyne'd '

Walder has been dealing with Blackfish. It may be that the logic is that Walder cant deal with both Blackfish and Ramsay at the same time so he was intending to deal with Blackfish and then deal with the Winterfell situation. But the Starks, the Wildlings, and the Vale Knights are about to wreck Ramsay and the Boltons so Walder is a little late to that party. Im guessing in the finale he will find out that the Starks have reclaimed Winterfell and that the Boltons are wolf chow.

Whether Frey and the Lannisters will want to head North and fight the Wildlings and the united North...well if they do then bring it on.

Walder doesn't know Ramsay at all nor what kind of person he is, but he does know that Roose's betrayal of Robb made some enemies up there for sure, so Ramsay's story is really not so far-fetched. I don't see Walder wanting to go to war over it at all.

Well once the Starks take back Winterfell he probably would only go to war if the Lannisters wanted him to go to war with them to depose the [blackout]King in the North[/blackout]. But after...

...Cersei nukes KL and the Tyrells declare war, the Lannisters won't be able to deal with the North. Plus, Walder is probably going to die in the finale.

Plus Dorne, plus even Euron's next move if he sees weakness and an opportunity. The Westerlands will look ripe for Ironborn plucking very soon, I think. Yeah I don't see the Lannisters nor Freys marching North with everything happening.

The spoilers I was told by my dude, you're right about Walder.

Rickon

That's all I know... But the last 2 episodes are pretty secretive... so if i am wrong, only take a finger or two.

I fully expected that one, and [BLACKOUT]he's the only Stark who's had like five lines in the entire series so it won't matter too much to the audience. We never had a connection with his character, and we can only feel the loss through Sansa's and Jon's reactions to it. [/BLACKOUT]

Time has some probabilities assigned to various characters.

I can agree with them that [BLACKOUT]Tormund[/BLACKOUT] will probably bite it. No way the good guys get though this without losing people we like.

I just hope Wun Wun doesnt die. I want to see that wonderful bastard standing alongside Jon until the end.
