steve rogers, black panther, moon knight, valkerie, war machine, Michael Pointer aka Omega excels through adversity

Yeah, that probably would've bugged me if I'd been reading when Cap switched over to it. But it's a great costume for US Agent.

Does this mean they're done with the roster?
Bendis said that there were more members of the main team than were trailed, so that's possibly the case here, though Brubaker is known to prefer to keep his casts small.

But the Dark X-Men are a bunch of *****ebags, aren't they? Evil, evil *****ebags.

Omega isn't evil. Just @#$%ed up in the head.

What are you guys talking about? Is there some team books Brubaker has written outside of Uncanny X-Men? I remember him writing Authority: Revolution but that kind of sucked.

I mean, sure Gotham Central and Captain America had ensemble casts, but it's not the same as a team.

Brubaker isn't really even writing Uncanny X-Men, is he? I thought that was like 90% Fraction.

100% Fraction. Brubaker's been off of X-Men for a while...

I think it is Steve Rogers. In a way, it would make total sense; CAPTAIN AMERICA remains Barnes' book, while Brubaker gets to write Steve in an AVENGERS title where he leads his own squad. It's a brilliant strategy, actually. Marvel knows the market can easily support at least 3 AVENGERS titles, and Brubaker can easily sell at numbers over 85k for months.

Rogers may likely take another identity, since he wants Barnes to remain as Captain America, complete with shield. Maybe "The Captain" again? I don't know...I don't think Rogers is against his country here, as when he became "The Captain". Does he even need a codename? Everyone will call him "Cap" anyway.

I loved Authority: Revolution; the best the book had been since Ellis (not saying a lot in and of itself, admittedly).

I just mean that, in general, he's said he prefers smaller casts (one of the reasons he doesn't like the Serpent Society in Captain America is because it has, in his estimate, too many characters).

Cap 1 and Cap 2. :)

Barnes is always either called "New Cap" or "Bucky". Rogers will always be "Cap" whether he dresses in a costume or a tee or a chicken outfit.

I have to admit, while things will go south for Bucky's tenure in the mantle when Brubaker goes, I have to admit being pleasantly surprised by the idea of him keeping the mantle in his solo CA title while Rogers remains active in an Avengers title, both written by Brubaker. That's actually a good idea, executed well. Marvel's done well with this one.

I merely wonder if this has come at the expense of losing Dan Slott's MIGHTY AVENGERS title in April? Will Slott also get an Avengers book, or will his second monthly ongoing (after ASM stints) be something else?

With this image likely being Rogers, rumors of other members of the team being Taskmaster or even Anti-Venom seem more absurd. There's no way Steve would work with either. Taskmaster just clocked Thor in the face, for crying out loud.

Slott could possibly be on Avengers Academy with Gage.

pretty sure Slott has an Avengers mini coming up in the future. I remember him mentioning it before.

that's going to be self contained and effect the Spider-Man comics if there any effects at all from it. Considering the main premise of the story is Harry Osborn's life post Siege(Osborn's fall) I doubt it'll have tie into anything in the Marvel U except Spider-Man's world.

God I hope that's all. If he shows up in Secret Avengers that solitifies my not buying it.

Brubaker confirms his Secret Avengers has more than 6 members!
