I can observe that the reviews obviously don't correlate with the mediocre quality of the game. I can combine my knowledge of how the gaming review industry works (as a 3rd party advertising firm basically) with my knowledge of how important Resistance was to the PS3 launch, and come away with a pretty obvious conclusion. Microsoft paid for Perfect Dark Zero's good reviews, and Sony paid for Resistance's. At the end of the day, the scores don't change the low quality though, do they?

Come on UK, you should know by now that honest opinions, as well as review scores don't work here. A fanboy of 360 will say Sony pays for high scores, and vice versa. Eventually there will be enough gamers that we won't need to go online to talk about it. Hell, I only hear stuff I didn't know about here, people I talk to in real-life bring up well known **** by our standards. I watched this guy play Mass Effect on a big TV and I knew something about the game he didn't(he had been playing it for like three straight days.) I told him he could set an ability so he wouldn't have to stop the action every time he wanted to initiate overkill,and I asked him about it before I told him and he didn't even know that option existed. It says it in the freaking game every time you use a speial ability, for crying out loud! The hate will never end, ever. If we just accepted our differences and respected what other people said this forum would most likely suck.

If the actual scores the game gets are higher than what someone would expect, that person would then resort to the lame ass "company X paid for those reviews", when, if that were the case, why wouldn't they pay for high reviews on all their exclusives? If they did that they'd just pay for all of them, but Lair smashes that theory into the ground. Same thing happened with PDZ, as GFreeman said. Launch titles mostly always get better scores than what they deserve, because they're the best of the worst.

Oh, and GFreeman has said plenty of bad things about the 360 before. Maybe you should widen that tunnel vision of yours. What you think is fact is not congruent with what actually is fact.

Honestly you guys just need to stop with the whole fighting, I like Resistance so what? I know many of you probable haven't played it because it’s on Playstation 3 and many people can't spend that much money on a system.

Maybe you were like me and saved up for a freaking year and bought one with your hard earned money and have the game and have played it. But with you, you like it but you don't think its that good or you could be like my friends who played the game and loved it from the beginning but then kept getting their assess handed to them by the campaign and then in on-line and now out of frustration they won't even touch the damn thing.

It’s really annoying to come onto these boards and is constantly bombarded with Resistance hate and Killzone 2 hate. Honestly do you guys have nothing better to do?

Face it you all were wrong that Resistance was going to be a mediocre title, Insomniac got tons of praises for making the title and the crazy weapons you didn't really see in first person shooters with games like Halo having to steal a couple of ideas here and there from Resistance.

Launch games typically get boosted review scores. It's a known fact, and it's exemplified through the fact that PDZ and other mediocre titles for the 360 got higher scores than what they deserved. (The original) Halo was probably one of the few exceptions to the rule. But it's not hard to see that most of the games that do go through end up with review scores higher than what they actually deserved.

By the way, I'm not aware of anything from Resistance that Bungie "stole". But it's alright, keep living in your deluded fantasy world.
