Should they make another Punisher movie?

Why?...he one of the best in the buisness when it comes to doing these types of films...Punisher is a crime drama character and that is Mann's specialty...look at Heat and Public Enemies for example...he be perfect for Punisher. He have a good mix of violence and story which is what a Punisher film will need in order to be successful.

Mann has been making his newer films with a DV cam, which is ugly by the way. Don't get me wrong, I love Manhunter and Heat. But there is NO WAY he would touch a comic book movie.

the movies just do a bad job of showing the humanity of frank imo all we see is some dude killing bad people imo

i connected with Rorschach from Watchmen more than Frank castle in all 3 incarnations

you should read the MAX series, it slowly reveals that there is nothing left in Frank...it isnt about revenge anymore its about peace of mind.

Michael Mann would be my ideal director for The Punisher. or Stallone.

What do you think they'll call a Punisher reboot? Just "Punisher"? "Frank Castle"? Would "Punisher: Welcome Back, Frank" be clever?

Fernando Meirelles(Blindness,City Of God) would be an interesting choice

i would go with FRANK . CASTLE as title with possible subtitle

i think they shouldnt include The Punisher in the title. if they do the Slavers story line it should be called "The Slavers"

Tbh, I would like the film to be called The Punisher, but with a second part to it.

The Punisher: Frank Castle

My choice of villain is Barracuda!!!

That's an interesting reaction. I think Mann would be a great choice for The Punisher. I was just re-watching Miami Vice the other day (way underrated movie btw) and some of that violence and action was pretty brutal. Collateral, the same, he's got this very interesting way of weaving action into a story where it does not feel forced at all.

Oh, and the DV thing. I love DV, I think The Punisher actually would be helped with that really sharp, really clear DV look as opposed to film. The violence always seems more visceral and immediate to me on DV. I could go on about my love of the look of DV but I'm not a film student, I just know what I like when I see it.

Someone vitally needs to let Tom know that we want him back. Or ask the director to get Tom. Or write a petition. Something! 0:

Seriously, I really want to see how he would do with the character in his "Punishing" years.

tom just like norton was'nt ground breaking or anything they are better out there i think jon hamm could be awesome as frank castle

Yeah get someone esle....this will bed a remaked not a sequel to Punisher 2004...I like Tom Hardy as Frank Castle...he a good actor....or Hugh Jackman and before anyone say a person should not play two comic book characters or more on film, Ryan Reynolds played Hannibal King, Deadpool and Green Lantern. I prefer Hugh Jackman since he would seem to nail the role more since he already played a savage character in Wolverine.

Punisher is cool and all but the only property i want back is daredevil fox is just sitting on a gold mine imo

I think it's extremely unlikely that Jane would come back now or that Marvel would pick him to play Frank again. That said, I fully support the idea.

I like Mann as director. Tony Scott and Walter Hill have been mentioned before. Ideally we'd get Scorsese but I'd have to get my hands on the Infinity Gauntlet to make that work...

I like Mann better then Scorsese because Mann films look visually stunning and like your in the movie and it looks very real. Also I beleive he can do more justice to the character in terms of violence and a good story too.

I would say no to another Punisher movie. He's had three movies thus far, and none of them were huge hits, so there may be a bad taste in the mouths of audience members. I just don't think that the Punisher is unique enough to make anything more than a small splash in the movie world.

As much as I love Scorsese he's not right for a Punisher film. He'll nail the internal struggle but he's not an action director and I just don't believe his style would be right for the film.

I believe that a helmer for the Punisher film would have to have Scorsese's sense of internal conflict (ala Taxi Driver) and Quentin Taratino's sense of violence and crime (ala resevoir Dogs/Pulp Fiction era with a bit of Kill Bill).

I wonder if they'll reboot the character completely and do his origin? Since Marvel hasn't really had a shot at The Punisher, will they act like the other movies didn't happen...

I'm still excited about the possibility of another Punisher movie, or him just appearing in another movie.
