Should they make another Punisher movie?

Walter Hill? He hasnt directed a movie since 2002 and his resume isnt all that impressive to me. I'm not sure who I want to direct but Hill would probably get a no from me

Incorrect. The last film he directed was in 2006, Broken Trail, which was a TV movie made for AMC with Thomas Hayden Church and Robert Duvall. It was very good.

He's also supposed to be teaming up with Mickey Rourke again(they worked on Johnny Handsome together in 1989) on a new project, but I haven't heard anything recent about it.

Aside from The Warriors and 48 Hours, check out his work.

tarantino would make a compeling story.

I LOVE Tarantino, but he's stated that he WILL NOT DO comic book films. And I don't really want him handling The Punisher anyway. Sure, Kill Bill has revenge and violence. Reservoir Dogs has a gritty violence, but Tarantino has his own style that he will not get rid of for anything, and where I love his style of filmmaking, his style doesn't fit The Punisher. Not to mention, Tarantino is too cool for The Punisher.

His style of film making actually fits with the punisher.

Elaborate.

His style, cinematically speaking, is not what the Punisher needs. His ideas and how he executes things, such as story and violence and characterization are all top-notch, but his visual style doesn't lend itself to The Punisher.

Tarantino makes references to so many different things in his movies, his characters are always kind of goofy, no matter how evil, cool, innocent they may be. His dialogue, where I love it, isn't right for The Punisher either. He isn't one to sacrifice his style for the sake of making adapting something. Even in Jackie Brown, it may be an adaptation, but all of Tarantino's trademarks are there: his visual flair, his dialogue, references to other movies, etc..

The Punisher doesn't need that. And again, this is kind of a redundant argument because Tarantino won't do comic book films.

NOPE

I'd rather see Howard the Duck.

Some advise, check out Clint Eastwood. Any two out of three of his movie's are the "revenge" movies, most of you crave, done right. Disney won't be rushing to satisfy you anytime soon, and justifiably so.

As for War Zone, I actually liked it. But you have to admit, the crazy brother was a stretch. Besides being a ****** he was like four feet tall. A regular guy would have just stepped on him.

Thomas Jane's version was better, but far from a true Frank Castle.

Two strikes bring me back to a subtle NOPE

Good one! That made me laugh. Me thinketh you takeid this much to cerial.

It's only my opinion. But that's exactly how you come off to me, but hey! Feel free to fantasise. Punisher, Venom it's all adolescent fantasy dreaming you are getting back at your parents. You'll grow out of it.

If they do Punisher's origin again, I'd like to see them incorporate Punisher MAX: Born into it. :D

No doubt. Give us some Vietnam at least.
When Frank finally agrees to take the war that will never end, it's one of the most awesome moments in Punisher history.

The next they want to do is rumored to be titled Frank Castle then it´s possible that they make a story set in the vietname war.

you know all you do is come off as an idiot right?

This. Howard the duck? Really. I'm pretty sure Tarantino wouldn't do that bad.

And like I said, he knows that he wouldn't be a great fit for comic book films, which is why he'll never do it.

The **** is this?

Unnecessary, relax.

so on AICN theres this thing about asking Stallone a question and i asked him if he would consider directing a Punisher movie :D

i hope my question gets selected and sent to him...wouldnt that be sick if he says Yes?

not funny or clever

Funny how they are refering to it as a "Frank Castle" movie... leads me to think the origin will be dragged out like Batman Begins

That's pretty funny because I sent my question asking if he would do a Mack Bolan/Executioner movie since he did hold the rights for a while.

Im actually really excited to see how the new Punisher movie goes.
