Should they make another Punisher movie?

I just finished replaying the last of the 2005 Punisher video game for the PS2. Still a great game and it would've made for a great movie sequel to the 2004 film (and in a way it actually kind of is, if you've played it you know what I mean).

I almost bought a Playstation back then just to play that damn game. I had dowloaded a free level for PC and loved it. Never got to play it but my brother did and loved it.

I didn't hear much about the NO MERCY game that came out in '08. Anybody play that one? Any good?

Yes I know that people swear in real life, but they dont do it in every sentence. The profanity in MAX is extremely ridiculous IMO which is my only regret for reading it. But the art and story is told so well that the only thing to do is accept it.

Well, most of that is coming from pretty scummy people that may very well have that kind of vocabulary. I hope you aren't hanging around with degenerates like Frank ends up having to dispose of.

No Mercy sucked balls. I played a demo of it. The controls were crap and the handling was even worse.

As far as I know, only the PC version is uncensored. The console versions slightly censored the interrogation kills by using black and white imaging and turning away from the more grisly violent bits.

I'd love it if the 2005 game got a sequel, with Jane back voicing Frank and closely following Ennis' Max run. It'd be great to get such a game for the current generation of consoles and improving upon the mechanics and engine of the first game.

And on the subject of the 2005 game, it'd be an epic movie if made into one.

I hunted down the 2005 game for years, and finally last Christmas, my sister got it for me. I played that thing till my brain was narrating thoughts in a Noir-like fashion.It was brilliant and I'm saddened that there hasn't been a direct or indirect sequel. Playing it, you felt like the Punisher. There weren't any crazy video game based tropes forced upon it. It nicely fit with that weird balance between realistic and bizarre that the MU offers.

That sucks I saw some gameplay vids of those interrogation scenes and the deaths were hilarious.

Love the 05 game, I have it on pc and still play it from time to time. I hate the way it docks you points for going ahead with the interrogation kills though. I mean if I shove a guy's head into a rhino cage to question him, I expect to be able to use the rhino on him afterwards without being penalized. But for some reason the designers felt otherwise.

Still a great game however.

i loved how seamlessly they wove in Frank's violent nature into the MU since you had tons of cameos from the MU there.

The 05 game was simply amazing. Definitely one of the best I ever played. i wish Xbox 360 would port it over with HD graphics. I'd drop what I am currently playing and work on that.

As far as I know, the PS2 and Xbox version were the same, the PC version was the only version to have uncensored option.

Also, another great thing about the 2005 video game had to be the score. The Punisher theme for the game my favorite, it has a sort of epic tragedy to it.

I watched Punisher Extended Cut again today and I cant help but think that its one of the most awesome marvel movies in terms of character development and the like. Pretty much everything in the movie is fantastic.
