Skins (New Drama Coming To BBC America)

Season 5 (Generation 3) started last night it was good. Hope its a return to form after Season 4 which was wasn't well liked by most fans/critics.

Mobilty Scooter chase from the 13 year old bus stop gang was funny as was the Scottish English Lit teacher with the Bronte tattoo.

I never knew cyber bullying on Facebook was called being Fraped.

**** i missed it, forgot it was on. Do you know if its repeated over the weekend?

So I started watching this show yesterday (the UK version) and I love it. **** the American version!

Really? It's short for being "facebook raped".

Also like the new series so far, though this first episode was a bit... uneven.

Go to 4od (Channel 4 On Demand Website) if you don't mind watching it over the internet. It will probably be repeated over the weekend on E4.

Just watched it and I liked it. It was a nice change from the emoness that was Series4 and this is basically how I imagined 3or4 to go with Katie vs. Effy (that sadly never realy happened) But Liv looks straight up just like Jal! They should make her her sister or cousin or something.

And I see that they changed the Rich character completely from what we saw in the group pic.

Just finished the first season of Skins. I'm loving this show. The whole song thing at the end was kind of cheesy but still entertaining.

Finished watching series 2 last night. I'm going to miss the original cast. I'm debating about whether I should continue on to series 3 or just stop here. Do any of the members of the original cast make a cameo in series 3 or 4?

Effy (Tony's femme fatale kid sister) returns as the main character. Unfortunately, less awesome than it sounds though your mileage may vary.

Nope. Tony is very breifly mentioned during Season3. And there was suppose to be a Skins movie combining to the two casts together but never and probably will never happen. If you deciede to go on just wait till Season 5 when we dont know anyone at all. The only characters who will seem to keep everything together are the teachers in their brief apperances.

I'm skipping seasons 3 and 4 cuz Effy's friends don't look interesting at all.

So Effy isn't in season 5? She graduated at the end of season 4?

Ya Effy is gone after Season4. They change casts every 2 seasons.

Gen2 is interesting and likeable they just got unlucky and got horrible storylines espically come season4 and the finale that was just atrocious.

My advise would be skip Skins seaon 3 and 4 (2nd Generation) they are really unlikable. The only decent character is Thomas a happy go lucky immigrant from the Congo.

Not too mention it starts getting really pretentious like its being shoot by sofia coppola in art house mode.

The ending of that Skins generation is aweful as well.

I watched the first two episodes of series 3 and I just didn't feel it with those kids. Cook pisses me off. Freddie seems okay though. It seemed weird that they had tension in Freddie and Cook's friendship. I felt that if they had showed their friendship more and built on it, then their argument would have had more impact. But I felt nothing when Freddie said he couldn't watch out for Cook anymore. I hardly know the characters enough to feel sympathy for them. I did, however, enjoy the "shout outs" to Tony and Sid in the first episode.

The one saving grace of the second Generation was Naomi and Emily's romance, the whole Effy/Cook/Freddie love triangle was frustrating.

Cook gets more sympathetic as the show goes on but his still an epic scumbag.

Does JJ have Aspergers syndrome or something? He seems a bit...off.

Generation 3 is off to a great start and already looks more promising than the second generation

BTW MTV Skins actually ain't half bad, the original episodes "Tea" and "Cadie" were refreshing
