Sony is smart to release the movie worldwide, this means that for two weeks Spidey 3 will be the first and only big event movie--in theaters around the world. Not to mention, IMAX is putting SM3 in MORE theaters/screens than SM2.

I don't see why the U.S. gets it later than Belgium, Oman, etc considering U.S. is the country of production. What logistical aspect could mean that the country where the film is made sees it later than a country in Western Europe?
