I honestly don't recall seeing this before:

“I think Harvey Dent has been mentioned. I don’t know that Two-Face has been mentioned,” Goyer told SciFi. “All I can say is some people raised their eyebrows when they heard there were going to be two villains in the first film [Batman Begins], but I think that one worked out just fine.”

The screenwriter went on to say that the story was tweaked an tweaked again “because we really did not want to let down the fans. We had to figure out a way to top ourselves, and I think we have.”

I still doubt Two Face will have a huge role... probably just an extended cameo... we already got Joker and Maroni and probably Falcone Zsaz/Crane coming back... how much more can you have?

cool find, but doesn't add anything we already know. Other than they worked their asses off to top Begins. Hopefully they don't go over the top. But since the sides, my confidence is firm.

I disagree. I think we will get more of Two-Face than people think especially now with those comments by Goyer. He seems to be pretty much implying that this film will have two main villains. Eckhart has referred to the Two-Face character in interviews and even Cillian Murphy refers to Eckhart playing Two-Face in TDK:

He sighs and smiles. “I know nothing. As far as I know, there’s a script. It’s a film about Batman versus Joker and Two Face and we know Heath Ledger and Aaron Eckhart have been cast in those roles. But I’ll just wait for the call."

I'm actually worried that while they may have outdone themsleves, they might have overdone it as well.

I mean, from the looks of it, this film will be PACKED. It's got Maroni, Joker, Two-Face, Bruce's duality storyline. We will be exhausted by the time the end credits roll... it's going to be alot to take in.

What the hell could the third movie be about? Catwoman? Penguin? Riddler? Robin? One of them? All of them?

... or, maybe there won't be a third movie? Is a third movie really needed after this?

I wouldn't take this as inside information. Murphy has never said anything that makes me think he's read the script or knows what's going to happen. everyone knows Dent becomes Two-Face - Murphy may just be reading more into the casting of Eckhart than he should. My preference is for a reveal at the end of the movie, but no actual villainy until part 3.

My ears! My ears!

BURN THE UNBELIEVER! :cmad: :cmad: :cmad:

Seriously though, I've been wondering about that too, recently. Not so much whether they'll be a third film but whether it means they've had a change of plans regarding the story (like, for example, bringing in Robin, which Nolan has previously been against...)

I have just the thing.

I feel there's enough in Joker and Two-Face for two movies. Somebody (BatScot, if it's you, I await clarification!) suggested BB as Year One, The Dark Knight as TLH (which is borne out by Nolan and Goyer's recent comments) and part 3 as Dark Victory. Which means Dick becomes Robin at the end of part 3. I can live with it.
As for the storyline of part 3, I reckon Two-Face takes hostages on a double-decker jumbo jet and Batman has to infiltrate it a la Kurt Russell in Executive Decision.
I call it 'Bats on a Plane'.

This sounds like it will be one of the best superhero/comicbook movies ever. I really believe it will be at present, or atleast has the potential.

I love it!

Hmm, I could see that progression being very close to what we'll get. Awesomeness. :hyper:

Lastly, is that picture from the Wicker Man?

I think Two-Face will be more threat to Batman in the tird movie than TDK.
Nice find Miranda.

Thanks. :) And I'd pretty much think that was the case - maybe we'll just see Harv still in bandages close to the end of TDK or something like that.

We can hope. :)

It is. The original Wicker Man, not the apparently appalling Nicholas Cage version. Classic movie.

I really want to see it but they always stick it on really late at night. -_-

Eh, remakes are always worthless. Funnily enough, our own Harvey Dent Aaron Eckhart actually has a cameo in the remake.

You've heard of videos, DVD-Rs, Tivo, timers, that sort of thing?

We should all just try and forget that part of Eckhart's CV. I put it down to contractual obligations and mobsters holding his family hostage during filming. And I won't hear of any evidence to the contrary.

I'm putting faith in this movie, and I know I won't be disappointed.

I'm pretty sure we'll see some glimpse of Two Face at the end of the flick but I don't think he will be the second main "baddie" of the movie.

Can I say I haven't and actually seem credible? :woot:

Me either.

Welcome to the Hype, Ecstasy. I like your first post as it fits in with my worldview. You will do well.
Now get me some coffee.

I could see Bruce meeting with Selina asking her out, Bruce sees the Batsignal " I have to go, I have an important business meeting tomorrow, can we do this later" Bruce goes the father's office and we him use the grandfather cock entrance to Batcave. Gordon tells him Harvey left the hospital and Joker is running lose as well Gordon tells him. Enter Batman 3 with choas.

.

Eh, no, Ted.
Do you think Goyer is still involved? His comments do sound as if he's still working away. As long as he doesn't write any one-liners, that's fine by me.
