I hope not. While I always enjoy seeing good CGI in movies, I think it should almost always be used sparingly. I don't want to see CGI in every shot of the movie, because it's not always the answer to everything that can be shown onscreen.

yea they should add a bit more sci-fi efx elements.. maybe they should just revamp and go full CGI.. what do you think about that? like the same CGI animation used for the Clone Wars series on cartoon network.. i think that would look really hot and then they'd def be able to keep continuity where the looks and such are concerned..

No....I'm not a big fan of that idea, I think they should stick with live action. But, if they want to make some CGI animated cartoon movies on the side (as in direct to DVD releases) then that's totally fine.

yea... but i would be nice to see X-men in CGI animation.. imagine TAS in CGI lol

Well, it could be, but personally, I don't think it'd work if they tried to sell it in theaters. What works for one franchise won't always work for another.

true.. I just think it would look really nice and maybe even better than whats out now since by the time if ever they decide to do any CGI X-men the tech will be way more advanced!

but yea, im hoping if they do a X 4 that its a culmination of everything that made x1 & x2 great for us!

If there's an X4 I want to see them do the Apocalypse storyline, that'd be awesome.

i dont see why they wouldnt do an X 4... unless its all Origines from here on in..

While I've enjoyed the films, I have to agree...the franchise has never really reached its full potential. It could be SO MUCH bigger and better. Maybe the next 'wave' will focus more on the sci-fi fantasy elements than the stark realism.

I believe Peter Jackson is the right director to have the franchise reach it's full potential since He did a really great job with sci-fi fantasy elements in the Lord of Rings trilogy but first Fox has to lose the rights because Tom Rothman is trying to turn the franchise into a cash cow.

when does the Fox contract expire? oh god please let Marvel take it back!!!!!

They won't let Marvel have it again. They'll keep renewing the contract.

Marvel have more than enough other properties to develop. The Avengers has the potential to be even bigger than X-Men. I'm beginning to get excited about Thor.

The only way Marvel will get the rights of the X-Men back in the foreseeable future is by buying them back off Fox.

And I am also getting excited about Thor. I think it will be ****ing brilliant, especially Loki.

It's possible for Marvel to buy them back off, I mean, if Google bought YouTube, then, I'm sure they can get their rights back but if Fox doesn't agree to that, then they'll have to battle it out in court.

Let's hope Marvel makes gazillions with its upcoming films so they can buy it back! :)

Wolverine may be released in India on 19th June. It's not a big market for Hollywood films (the previous X-Men films took less than a million dollars each) and there are a lot of films coming out in a short period, held up by a strike involving the multiplexes.

The Avengers WILL BE bigger than X-men.

Ironman already was, so... imagine what the avengers movie can do.

Bye bye, x-men. :woot:

yea i think by the time we get to Cap America and Avengers the cgi and special efx will be so bad ass that its gonna at least be visually great.. (one would hope at least) lol

you would think

but look at the CGI in Origins: Wolverine compared to X1

a 9 year gap

Yea but it's pretty clear they cheaped out on Wolverine. They just wanted to make a blockbuster on the cheap. I mean, look at all the promo posters and pictures, looked like they were made by 5 year olds who just started using Photoshop :hehe:

Yeah they cheaped out on Wolverine. Which, is very very stupid in the long run.
