The Dark Knight Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left.

The zipline theory? Not confirmed.
No actually I think he gets shot in the face and goes right through and somehow its Batmans fault. Details are vague I know but this is speculation as much as the first post is!

I did the shot through the face theory, but not with Batman as the cause.

Then again, this is just good ole speculation.

And again, I fully support said theory.

This is me spreading the man love all over this thread.

Dear BubbaGump,

I love ya.

Yours Truly,
Mr. Bond

Brilliant theory! So, is Snow White really permawhite, and if so, did she fall into a chemical vat?

Just opened this thread a couple minutes ago and I happened to be cleaning out a backpack this afternoon and remembered I had this from the Why So Serious challenge.

Which Dwarf am I?

How is this thread not closed, and the coolest thread in years, is? (That being the question of if Joker should bite the heads off of babies)

Hey I have the same mask from that day! I think we both have "Happy".
The seven dwarfs btw are:
'Happy'
'Grumpy'
'Sleepy'
'Bashful'
'Sneezy'
'Dopey'
and the oft forgotten 'Doc'

I love this thread. If the names of Joker's masked thugs are really the seven dwarfs, then yes, it's likely future allusions would be made to Snow White, and the Joker's true/fake skin color would be an obvious connection. Also, I think something like this, if true, is a really cool/creative addition to the film.

Also, one question: The Joker walks into the bank with a mask doesn't he, or am I mistaken? (Before we see his face and the big reveal?) Which mask would it be, 'happy'? Or is he the 'grumpy' mask? But that would throw off the Snow White allusion. Hmm.

as far as this thread being closed, this is a legitimate thread. it's a very interesting theory, and helps play with some themes for the movie. it will be open for awhile, i hope, until the idea is fully discussed, which might be a little while. i don't have the energy to address the theory right now. but i will =D (provided the thread remains open)

Hell no!

Seriously, maybe Harvey Dent represents Prince Charming.

Actually in a really sick way (this is the Joker we're talking about) Batman could be prince charming. And NO, not in brokeback mountain way, but simply for Joker's obsession with Batman. Which is something I think Nolan is going to explore.

I did the shot through the face theory, but not with Batman as the cause.

Then again, this is just good ole speculation.

I drank the Koolaid of your shot in the face theory, but then I saw something that leads me to believe why the zipline is very possible.

the entire movie isn't necessarily snow white, but perhaps the joker aspect is. so there may be no prince charming. because prince charming freed snow white from the evil spell. so, i don't know. perhaps joker is his own prince charming. pre-joker is snow white, and joker is prince charming. he saves himself.

well if joker wears that mask of happy as in shown in the foto then i could see a scene where the masks melt and burns through his skin till he rips it of his face...scars and a bit of color remains .... isn't rachel more like snow white wich is in love with dent charming?

No, Joker wears the mask of Grumpy, wich is meant to be ironic.

snow white ... perma white. i buy it 1000% . you are a genius .

I'm very impressed by you're detective work, sir, and you get my certified thumbs up. In one of the original tellings of the snow white myth (which didn't contain any dwarves), Snow White's mouth was smeared by blood by the queen as an attempt to frame her for eating her own children (this connects us with that brilliant 'eating newborn's heads' thread). Could this be the connection with the infamous 'Glasgow smile'?
Secondly, there's a bit in the early tellings I think you may find interesting; "The huntsman took Snow White into the forest, but found himself unable to kill the girl. Instead, he let her go, and brought the queen the heart of a young deer or a pig." Remember the decoy?
Thirdly, of the seven dwarves of the later versions, could they be representive of the ill's that are plagueing Gotham?
Theorising is fun, but chances are the symbolism was unintentional.

EDIT: Maybe the coffin is Arkham. The witch Crane? Comparing the Joker to a woman who's always being kissed, or in some versions, raped, is getting sort of ridiculous.

So who's prince charming?

Prince Charming's role is to bring positive change (wake her up) and completion (happily ever after, etc.) to Snow White. Her story is unsatisfactory without his intervention. Therefore, Joker's Prince Charming can only be Batman.

The Evil Stepmother, if theories about his involvement with Joker are correct, would probably be Sal Maroni. Although, it might be Harvey Dent. (Harvey might be Maroni's Magic Mirror, too, if he is playing both sides of the fence as some have theorized.)

Hey, let's not take this too seriously. I don't. K? It's just fun...

i was gonna make a reference to Little Red Riding Hood being eerily similar to The Red Hood, but have decided to refrain.

hmm well, everything else aside, I like the idea that the huntsman is Batman, unable to kill Joker XD

Very cool! Looks like Happy to me.

that could be dopey.

Another question is will there be seven dwarves?

This is a pretty neat thread. Never did I think about a Snow White aspect of the Joker, and now I do and it makes sense. However, I just think this is a creative way to keep things fresh on the Hype. But cool nontheless.
