The Dark Knight Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Ok, I had to speak up on this one because I think we might be missing a very obvious possibility (unless of course this has been mentioned before and I missed it): Perhaps Mr. J is the one pulling a gun on a "look-a-like" goon, instead of the other way around. The "gunman" in the picture is too blurry to really make him out... That would explain why we don't see makeup under the mask that is in the foreground... because it's really on the man in the background.

Just a thought...

I always thought Heath was Joker in the purple suit in the back...

...then I saw the spy photos of him wearing the suit of the guy in the front.

It's real f***ing confusing.

I'll try not to clutter the thread with too many "thankyou's"... but THANKS! I've been around for a while, reading for news on my FAVORITE Batman villian... and I figured it was time I quit watching and start participating. Oh, and I've already abandoned my red font... red's my favorite color but I just realized how annoying it must look.

well, yeah, typically people just use black on here. unless there's a sentence or something you REALLY wanna emphasize.

ya know, it would have been quite humorous if noone had considered that possibility and after you brought it up we were all like "wait, holy crap!!" But the clothes thing certainly prove it. Good idea by the way. I always wondered about the purple suit man too, but it's actually blue. You can tell from that pic of the three robbers going into the bank outside. There's blue suit dude leading them, then another guy, then Heath with the bag last. That mask also possesses a pretty gnarly tuft of blue hair sticking out. It kinda resembles a mohawk.

i think someone on here actually knew the mohawk guy, didn't they? for some reason i remember someone talking about that guy being his friend.

omg, are people still on the "is joker perma white" thing?

So I guess my original suggestion only adds to the mystery, instead of clearing anything up. I thought I had a pretty solid lead, but it seems to be as shaky as any of the "puts on/removes" makeup theories. Hmmmmm... I'll keep thinking...

It's not a "permawhite" discussion as much as it is... How do you reveal the Joker in white... in the same scene where he appears flesh toned. I happen to believe and LIKE the idea (yeah I know... strange but true) that he applies makeup... but that doesn't make the scene any easier to explain.

i like the makeup idea.... saves from having something gay happen to the joker to possibly ruin the storyline. besides in the leaked photos and the other ones you can tell its make up, he aint gunna be permawhite

I agree with parts of that... Makes him somehow even crazier that he applies the makeup... and the perma-smile kinda takes care of the whole "I can't take off my mask" issue. I also think the pictures make it obvious that he's wearing the white makeup.

But again, that's not really the question here. The question is, how do you do the quick change in this scene believably.

what scene? i didnt read but the first couple of psts in this thread.

The imax bank robbery scene that is supposedly the Joker's big reveal. It seems he appears both "in makeup" and "out of makeup" in the same scene. Or if you believe my theory... maybe not :yay:

Bubbagump - I am pretty sure you are heading down the right track with this.

@ All those saying this makes no sense...you missed what Caine said in an interview (he mentioned the "dwarfs" only to realize he was giving something special away)

It ties in too well with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to be a coincidence.

As for the IMAX pictures of Heath in the mask with no makeup, followed by Heath in full Joker Makeup behind a screen...I am also confused by it. But that's Nolan for you. In time it will all make perfect sense. If we knew what every little detail meant 9 months before the movie came out...this place would be even more boring than it is now.

When it gets to about 3-4 months before the films release....I am out of here until I have seen The Dark Knight. There is no way I am going to let myself know to much before I have seen it. There is a fine line between knowing enough about a film to get you truely pumped to see it...and then knowing to much that it can ruin the experience.

can't sleep yet...actually its about a theory on using (forgot the word ) parallels to the snow white story wich is a great theory  now it came to the question how this is gonna fit into the story on what we seen so far...what symbol is which character ...but the main question, ...sorry if it isn't the right threat, but till now I'm not the one who started and won't open a new for this is, how is joker gonna change into the joker ????
wikum you absolutely right....i guess we wont find out till the film is close enough but its still wondering...boring? interesting?

eh, we'll he's got on a mask, and he takes it off and scares the hell out of the manager, so he's probably already scarred and could possibly have on his makeup or not... my vote is he already has on his make up and is already the joker once the movie gets started, hence the ending to BB. so yeah, already scarred, already covered in maybelline, already crazy...
the whole skin in one scene and make up in the next might just be somethign they will fix digitally

The digital thing is a possibility... but all the theories are a little "rickety" right now.

I still can't think of anything but latex skin and a wig for something that has to go down that fast, that wisp of green in his hair was odd. Surely it's got to be an instant rip off the mask and there's the Joker kind of surprise. We know there's a big point to it because he's trying to fool his goons, and probably the audience too. Maybe he's weeding out the traitor that caused his smile.

Snow White is kind of a tale of vanity, maybe while applying make-up he asks "Mirror mirror on the wall ... who's the fairest of them all?" :woot:

what theories? he's already the joker once the dark knight starts, and he's more than likeley already scarred from the reaction of the bank manager, and theres a pretty big chance he already has makeup one... so....

I just remembered .....I do have one problem with the theory though:

If Joker = Snow White
His 7 Goons = 7 Dwarfs
....Then why does The Joker himself wear one of the masks?

I definitely agree that it's gotta be a kind of "BAM... here's the Joker thing"... so there is some high level deception going on here that we aren't completely aware of yet. It's not gonna be yank off the mask and then, "Oh wait... hang on... gotta get out the lipstick... hold on... just another sec... ok... there, NOW I'm the Joker!" And the whisp of green hair is strange... Hmmmmm... So many clues... I LOVE IT!

Whoa just to clear something up. The bank robbery no make-up/with make-up isn't that hard to explain. In the film, he's probably wearing his Joker make-up under the mask, in real life, Heath didn't wear it under the mask until the reveal scene being shot.

But what about the green hair?

There's a big difference between Joker hair and the brown hair while he was outside the bank, but my puny brain can't think of anything but wigs
