Solo movies or a crossover epic?

I think that many characters will never work on a solo franchise.
But if WB does a DC universe epic like Lord of the Rings, we could see every DC character in a live action treatment all in once.
The main problem is wich story could have the same appealing of LOTR?
My suggestions:
1. Kingdom Come
2. The Final Night
3. Rock of Ages
4. Final Crisis (Morrison hinted this as the LOTR of DC)

Kingdom Come possibly but it would have to be animated.

Rock of Ages is a possibility though they'd have to seriously alter and edit huge chunks of it for time.

To early to tell for Final Crisis. We're only on #2.

I think JLA: New Maps of Hell would work that intro is incredibly cinematic but it may require the League to already be established

WB would end up bankrupt making that monster!
