nasty reminder there of how it went down...

We're two episodes in and you're already suspecting that they'll drag Juice out until the end? Get back to me if he's still breathing by the midseason mark, in which case, I'll join you. To me, I really feel like he's next on the chopping block. Gemma will almost certainly make it to the finale, or at least close, but I really don't think he's long for this world.

I think some of you guys complaining about the Juice and Gemma plots dragging out too long are confusing how long we've waited from the season finale to the actual show time frame. Yeah Juice's story started in S4 when he stole that brick of heroin and Gemma and Tara were always at odds but things really came to a head in last year's finale. We've only had 2 episodes since then and it all only equates to about a month of in story time.
To be honest, IMO, the only thing about SoA that I find redundant is the unrealism of the action sequences. They've become very vanilla in my eyes. I mean, last night the guys stormed into a Triad drug deal and stood wide open out of cover and massacred a bunch of guys that had an equal amount of firepower that were in cover. I mean......c'mon.![]()
Agreed on the action. You could tell the truck was supposed to flip over too, from the way at the last second, the driver turns it slightly and how Jax hits it. Sloppy stunt work.
Gemma is just an annoyance though. Sure, her plot line really picked up two episodes ago, but we've been dealing with her betrayals since before the show started. Tired of it already.
If Juice was a strong character I wouldn't mind his plot that much, but he just cries in a corner every time we see him. He better start turning into a cornered animal and start attacking. If the club is gonna kill you, kill them first.
At some point he's going to go see the Mayans...we know that much.
I loved this episode, damn good.
