Sons of Anarchy - Part 3

I still love this show, but I will agree about the weird sheriff. I thought it was really odd how quickly Jax and Co agreed to pay her off. The new sheriff rolls up and they just agree to pay her cash -that seems like a total set up. So far it seems like she's just legitimately on the take, but no outlaw in their right mind would just pay up that quickly without expecting some sort of trap.

Well if she didn't get NCIS: NO, then it would have been her getting railed by Chibs in the parking garage......man F**K NCIS! :argh:

How the hell did Jax not see that coming? I was thinking after they got pat down that there was going to be a gun in the bodybag that he'd pull out, but no Jax thought Marks would be true to his word. How come he has no problem screwing over Samcro members but he can't double cross the guy he wanted dead?

Marks pretty much did the same thing that Jax did to Pope at the end of S5.

Maybe it was the combination of not seeing the previews and thinking that Marks' crew already did enough, but I didn't see that coming... well until it near happened. Oh, that sucked.

Nero's reaction to Gemma going Gemma had me in stitches. Can't figure out why he still hangs around, knowing what a train wreck she is.

She must be really good at sex. I mean honestly I don't even believe "love" can keep someone around through all that sh**

I want to talk about how the theory that Rat is a literal rat is really implausible for a moment.

In S4 I believe is when Rat first shows up as a prospect. In 4x13, Rat is the prospect hanging around the club when Opie shoots Clay and is taken down by Jax. Rat helps Jax moves Clay out of the chapel to the garage with Jax telling him that Rat will never get patched in if he says anything about Opie shooting Clay. Now if Rat was a law enforcement agent he would have had Jax by the balls for conspiracy/cover-up, and Opie for attempted murder. Those two things would have been enough leverage to bring the club down. But nothing happened.

In Season 5, Rat is still a prospect as Jax and the club hand off Romeo (and the CIA!) to the Chinese without any pushback from law enforcement. So Rat can't be an agent of the CIA or Romeo, because they have never come back. Pope and Marks have come into the series by then long after Rat, so he can't be associated with black.

In Season 6, Rat is patched over (I believe it is mentioned that Jax is his sponsor. If Rat really is an undercover, it would make Jax seem incredibly stupid, since Jax has always been portrayed as a smart and pretty cunning (except when he makes rash decisions) guy.) by the club and watches as Jax severs ties with the IRA and guns. There is no suggestion of Rat meeting with Patterson or the feds telling Patterson to back off because they have their own case going, nothing.

I think the general purpose of Rat's scenes this season is to show him being the new guy on a potentially doomed and sinking ship. Gemma's speech to him about women is probably metaphorical about all bikers and women. (Again look at the early days of Jax/Tara, Jax struggled with the fact that Tara wasn't really ingrained into his world until at least Season 5.)

The only plausible thing that occurs to me about Rat being a rat is:

Rat is somehow connected to Jury's son because they really did do boot camp together but I might be grasping at straws because I don't think Rat had any interactions with them so the chances are pretty slim.

Its dat cancer. Eatin at his brain.

Edit: On second thought...not even cancer can cause that kind of stupidity.

I mean, can somebody be so stupid?

Last season Tara tried to get away from Jax and Gemma, especially Gemma threatened Tara on several occasions. Tara even told Unser her plans, getting the children out of Charming, away from the club and Gemma and that idiot buys the story about the Chinese being behind the killing of Tara ? Seriously!

Great to see Jax destroying the club he wanted to protect. I really hope Sutter gives us a satisified ending, with Gemma and Juice getting it hard.

Gemma, Juice and Marks are on the 'Yeah, So You Gotta Die at Some Point' list.

And also Sutter is a better storyteller than that. Why use something far out of left field when he could have used it all throughout this season, which you have to admit has been pretty lean at points. Having a dedicated Rat subplot would make things much more exciting.

so with lin and marks in custody will Marylin Monroe become the linch pin to the clubs survival? Will Juice become the new Otto?

Man **** this show. :down:cmad:

See, that I can deal with. Eyepatches are cool.

I lied, I don't take it back after all.

We all lol'ed at Smits reaction here.

Agree that the sheriff is weird.

I can't figure out where they're going with Jax's kid. The creepy ass little dead-eyed monster is bound for serial killerdom if you ask me.

I swear Gemma probably couldn't go get a cup of coffee without slapping someone…

As others have said, she must be a maniac in bed for a guy to put up with all her bull.

well, actually, she DID go without slapping someone while having a coffee... when she was trying to get back home after Juice almost killed her and she met that waitress at that diner... :oldrazz:

Pretty sure it took all the fiber in her being not to slap the Glee chick though, lol.

It would literally make no sense based on the events so far, and the things that Rat has done with the club. It's crazy to me that a nickname has apparently spawned this theory.

Gemma is pretty crazy but I would argue that more than ever it's very much earned by way of story right now.

I'd love for Gemma to end the series having a psychotic break and thrown into a nut house.

I don't want her dead. Keeping her alive but alone I feel is a more just punishment for a woman who's primary motivation is "keeping her family together".

Another long episode on Tuesday. :( More blabbing to be sure. Just sucks for me because it'll run too late for me to watch it the same night. Hope they aren't going to do this the rest of the season.

Well there's only 4 episodes left in the series. Its a time crunch so they're putting in as much as they can…

I personally haven't had any issues with the "blabbing". In fact, I love all the behind the scene scheming and politics moreso than the action and violence. Very Godfather-ish.

I guess I just don't have the attention span for the talking bits. Both times I bailed early. :( I'd rather have actual content for my time.
