Again, read Warren Ellis' Thunderbolts run. I guarantee you will change your tunes.

Huh? He is brilliant at the moment I think. He's better as a threat to the whole MU instead of just a Spidey villain.

The way it's showing him slowing unraveling is great. Read Warren Ellis' run on Thunderbolts, trust me, probably the best Osborne has ever been written. Yes even better than the original Spidey run he was in. IMO anyway.

I disagree. Classic Green Goblin stories are the best example of Norman as a character. Even with the whole Thunderbolts thing going on, a bunch of unneeded crap has been added to Norman for no reason. Like sleeping with Gwen, raising her Goblin children, and really being the mastermind behind the clone crap :whatever:

Not saying he is not being used well right now (I have boycotted Marvel since BND), but too much crap has been added to him since he came back in the 90's. Someone else could easily be doing what Norman is doing right now in Marvel, and no one would notice. I think Norman was better off dead.

I agree that Norman should have stayed dead. The fact his return was part of the Clone Saga is proof enough that it was a dumb idea.

I agree. And it's become a running joke now that if Peter has so much as an in grown toe nail, Norman Osborn is behind it :hehe:

I have, and it doesn't change my stance. Norman should have stayed dead. So should Harry.

Ellis' run was good, but it doesn't justify retconning Norman's death, IMO.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way

Ehhh well you guys are in the minority there. Not saying there is a problem with that, but Ellis' T-Bolts run is like, practically universally praised. And his treatment of Osborne is treated as a Grant Morrison level reinvention of brilliance.

But I agree all the other stuff about him sleeping with Gwen etc is a load of crap.

Nobody denied his writing was good. But it doesn't justify Norman's return. Bad far outweighs the good as far as Norman's return goes.

It was a cheap gimmick to clean up the sloppy clone saga. And I think most Spidey fans agree with that.

It ****ed up so much. He bedded Gwen for christ's sake.

Couldn't they just keep both Vulture and Black Cat with Electro thrown in the mix? In contrast to New Goblin, Sandman, and Venom, I think those three could play off each other well. Electro can be the sympathetic villain who becomes of pawn of the Vulture, while Felicia Hardy can become the Black Cat because of a vendetta she has against Toomes.

HELL NO TO 3 VILLAINS!!!

If SM3 taught us anything, it's that 3 is not the magic number when it comes to villains. No more than 2, but I wouldn't be opposed to just 1 villain again.

The only thing SM3 taught us, is that Sam isn't going to bother much if you force him to work with something he doesn't like.

Yea I can understand Spidey fans not liking it, absolutely.

But I, as a general Marvel fan, love what they are doing to Osborne right now. I can just ignore all that clone crap.

Its at times like this (production turmoil after crappy third film) when I wish Spider-Man was over at Marvel studios being distributed by Paramount so he could be part of the Avengers arc they are building up.

A crimelord creates super villains to keep spidey busy as the crimelord is able to do his business without spidey getting in the way.Sandman would of been a good one,but he was already used. They could have the crimelord create Rhino and when Rhino is defeated the crimelord could create the Scorpion.

Then when spidey faces the crimelord himself, the crimelord could put on some stolen high tech stuff that he has stolen from Oscorp. He could put on gauntlets and he becomes the Shocker.

Actually...what happened to Sandman? He just flies away in his big sand storm thing, never to be seen again?

The movie could open where we see spidey is fighting the Lizard, then we see spidey says to himself how did he get here, and it takes us back to the beginning of how it did. This way we can see a major fight right away,it wouldn't be a throw away villain,it would be a new and cool way to introduce a spidey villain.

I want SOME lizard, I don't care how little. put it this way I would be okay if in the final credits conners takes some serum and grows his arm back. no scales, no complete change, just his arm back, close credits. end. that would have me buzzing for the next movie.

I would like that. You'd have Spidey and Lizard fight in the sewer, the Lizard lunges at him and the camera zooms into Spidey's eye, then zooms out again to reveal Parker's face and it says, "1 week earlier".

Or even better...

It zooms out showing Parker day dreaming in class, Doc Conners shouts in his face "Parker! Wake up!" or something to that effect.

That'd be good too. It would be great to have the Movie start with a bang.

How though? With his sand powers? ;)

I mean, he's still gotta be trying to make money for his daughters operation right?

Sooo... that's pretty lame. I didn't mind most of the changes done so far to the villains, but Sandman just trying to help his family and having nothing but bad luck? Now he's just out there, somewhere, doing nothing.

In the book it was stated that even penny knew there was nothing that could be done with her illness, so I would assume Flint is spending his final time(s) with his daughter

I always hated that ending. The hell..

Does that mean he's gonna stop trying to rob banks to save his daughter? And that since Spiderman forgave him he wont try to stop him?
