They should probably take a cue from the guys who made the Arkham Asylum and Assassn's Creed games.

They should definitely take cue from the people behind Assassin's Creed, imo, and mostly because Ubisoft wants them to release an AC game yearly, and the games that do come out yearly, they have looked incredible and are incredble. Beenox should take serious notes if they are fine with the whole yearly deal.

until Activision loses the license (at least 2017)

I can't wait for this.

Sd was not a mediocre game it was a great game either it was good soild 7 rating.

Compared to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City(from what we've seen already), it's mediocre.

Compared to the Assassin's Creed series, it's mediocre.

Compared to the Mass Effect series, it's mediocre.

Compared to the Halo series, it's mediocre.

Compared to the Gears of War series, it's mediocre.

Compared to the Dead Space series, it's mediocre.

:awesome:

A 7 is an okay rating, sure...but better games have better scores. Just saying.

No mediocre games have a 5 for a score. All the games you listed sell millions because there damn near masterpeice solid 9-10 rateings for the above games.

SD was fun and just wanted to give the fans some spidy action. didn't take its self to seriously it was meant to fun.

And a masterpiece game can be fun as well. Beenox can try, but they didn't.

yes you did he can see the future (sorry anno if you find that offensive)

Wait...what? How do you know they didn't try? Did I miss something?

Yea i wouldnt say Beenox didnt try, they clearly did. I just dont think they have the talent of a Rocksteady. They also dont have the time that WB gives Rocksteady either

When they seemed very lazy with 616's levels, but try over and beyond with Noir, which didn't even seem half as important, then yes, I say they didn't try. I didn't mean the entire story; that's not really their fault as they picked a sorry writer, but just the gameplay of 616 when 616 is supposed to be the main thing to worry about and make it perfect.

yes you did he can see the future (sorry anno if you find that offensive)

Oh, no, no offense taken because I can see the future. It's why my name is as ominous as 'Year of our Lord'.

But, in all seriousness...how can I look into the future on SD when SD was released a year ago?

I think they have just as much talent as rocksteady there just not given the time to prove it.

The only 616 level I thought was trash was the third level with dumenot worst level in the game if you ask me.

Kraven was pretty terrible as well, imo.

Sandman was okay, but the glitches I got while on that level ticked me off to the max.

I loved kraven. and I think Dan slott did a great job writing lines of dialogue.

But the story of sd was pretty weak.

Weak is almost too light a word.

As for the boss fights, I HATED the female doc ock level and wasnt fond of the scorpion level either. I just hated both of those character designs as a whole. The Ock fight was one of the worst fights in the game, Mysterio not withstanding.

I had the most fun with Juggernaut tho, that was great.

Strongly disagree with Doc Ock, but I HATED the Scorpion level. Way too annoying with the scorpion eggs, spitting acid everywhere, and stupid civilians to rescue.

At least the Doc Ock fight paid tribute to the PS1 Doc Ock fight. The Mysterio fight had no redeeming qualities at all! HATED the 2099 and Amazing parts of it.

I would say, from most fun to most idiotic and/or boring, lol...

Vulture
Hobgoblin
Hammerhead
Goblin
Juggernaut
Sandman
Deadpool
Scorpion
Carnage
Kraven
Doc Ock
Electro
Mysterio

Compared to Otto, the female ock was just lame all around. I mean how the hell can you fight a Dr Octopus and not have to dodge tentacles, thats just lame as hell.

Other than my obligatory "Green Goblin and Doc Ock" demands, I would like to see Hydro-Man and the Spot, because they could bring something new to the boss battles, have never been in a video game before like Anti-Venom, and would fit the science lab setting.

As for 2099, I would like some rogues from the original comics, such as Flipside, Venture and Risque, Data Pirate, and the Specialist, to show up. One of the complaints in SD was that 2099's rogues were either unpopular or made up, so this would address those.

Guests allies? Other than secondary civilian NPCs, no thanks. :cwink:

Spot would be interesting. I haven't read/seen much of him, but from what I know he's a decent enough character. And they could do some really neat stuff with him. Not a fan of Hydro-Man, though. But that's just my opinion. I've never really liked him much. xD You're right, though, they would both fit perfectly into the science lab environment. :awesome:

I haven't read any 2099 comics, but I do think it was really dumb that they chose to make up villains for that dimension, instead of using actual known villains from the comics. So I agree that they should use them, even if they might be lesser known to the general public.

As for allies, I'd actually like to see him team up with someone, at some point. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but Spidey's always teaming up with other people from the Marvel universe, so I think they should show that in a game. :)

As for the SD levels...

Doc Ock was complete ********. I don't know how that was ever allowed to happen. And that's all I really need to say about it, so I'll just stop there. Didn't like the Scorpion level, either. And I don't really understand why they went with the Juggernaut. They could have easily replaced him with the Rhino and he's more of a Spidey villain, which would have been more enjoyable for fans, I think. The level itself was fine, I just don't get why the chose Juggernaut... o.O

Vulture
Hobgoblin
Hammerhead
Goblin
Juggernaut
Sandman
Deadpool
Scorpion
Carnage
Kraven
Doc Ock
Electro
Mysterio

@Anno: So you liked the Noir levels, then? I agree, they were definitely my favorite parts of the game (probably since I'm more of a Bat-fan to begin with, and they were darker and reminded me of the stealth missions in AA). But why are Kraven and Carnage so low on the list? Kraven was one of my favorite missions! :word:

What glitches in Sandman? I didn't experience any glitching... Maybe it was your disk...?

Well, the only reason why the "made up" villains for 2099 was because one of the main attractions of SD was to show how would classic Spidey villains be in other dimensions. So, they chose to recolor Goblin 2099 to resemble Hobgoblin with a different backstory, and translated Carolyn Trainer's character to 2099 with a few changes.

Now that the time travel is the new attraction, they don't have to worry about adapting classic villains to 2099 motifs, and along with Peter David writing, can use actual villains from that storyline.

Agreed. Activision is holding them back, pretty much. If Spider-Man wasn't under Activision, Beenox would probably put 2 to 2 and a half years into a Spider-Man game.

That's true. But Bastardvision don't understand this, unfortunately! :(

In answer to your question, no, I don't think we'll see any gameplay footage at E3 that even remotely resembles the Arkham City footage ;)

Oh, I didn't mean that it would be able to compete with AC at all. Just, the same kind of presentation. Some talking and some gameplay, showing something new and some cutscene or something. :yay:

Wasn't a fan of dealing with Kraven in the jungle. Plus, I didn't like that entire level period. Kraven didn't seem much of a fight, albeit the first levels are usually the easiest, but it's Kraven the freaking Hunter...I wish he was a challenge, so, maybe I wish Kraven was in the third act and that's one reason why I'm not a fan of it.

And Carnage...ehh...like I said, not a huge symbiote fan these days...after Raimi destroyed Venom and after the symbiotes are shown in every game, I haven't been a fan of any of the symbiotes.

The Sandman glitches were Spidey staying up in the air everytime I jump and then when I fell off a...(plank would be the right term? Lol), he kept skiding down the side...and then when I try to help that construction worker out, I get stuck in the MIDDLE of that crane/truck.

Compared to the first, SMSD is better
Compared to the rest, SMSD is average
Halo is boring

You didn't even play SD, so...did you even play the AC games or the Halo ones? :cwink:

And, if you did...to say SD was better than the first AC game then to call the "Halo" series boring likely shows that you don't like games with an actual STORY.

I agree about Kraven. He didn't feel dangerous at all. This is how I would rank the levels:

Electro
Hammerhead
Hobgoblin
Juggernaut
Carnage
Vulture
Sandman
Goblin
Kraven
Deadpool
Mysterio
Doc Ock
Scorpion
