Spider-Man: Edge of Time - Part 4

Yeah, I might just watch all the cutscenes on Youtube instead of actually playing the game... :\

You'd be better off doing that. At least that way you won't waste that much of your time because playing through this, is nothing but a waste of time.

Damn, man... :\

Yea it sucks that i liked SD better. I mean damn, Amazing and 2099, my two favs, Josh Keaton and CDB, again my two favs and the game STILL ends up boring as hell.

Beenox might of screwed everything else up, but at least they got the 2 spideys right. Hope they can continue that.

Actually, I hope they DON'T continue. Period.

I want a new dev to take over. One who can mix free roam and fun.

The developer won't matter as long as Activision has the license.

I thought this was clear to everyone by now.

I think beenox has their heart in the right place, but they're just not grasping the idea of an ideal spidey game.
activision blizzard could do somethings differently though.

Yea id agree with that. I think they truly care about making a good Spidey game, they just dont have the talent to do so. It also doesn't help that their publisher only gives em a year.

Harsh, isn't the story good to watch at least? Even for someone bored by the gameplay?

Yeah when i saw the bad reviews i just aswell checked the story cut scenes via Youtube, i'm sorry but who thought it would be a good idea to have the last boss be:
an Emo Peter Parker? Like for real, who thought people would want an Emo Peter Parker to be a last boss to anything.

I can't get over how funny that was, at least for now

I think I scored this game too high in my excitement to play it, I'm bringing it down to between a 7.5-8.0/10, it hurts to do that but SD was a better game!!!:(

It happens occasionally and its not like this is the first time. Most recently Gamespot scored Gears 3 higher

I wathed that video review and man do the environments look so bland

Yeah it's funny how certain games will get a boosted review score simply because of the title of the game. Madden always gets ratings of above an 8 but it couldn't be a bigger pile of poop.

I know Arkham City will get a 10 across the board from every reviewer out there and it may well deserve it but even if someone thinks it may be a solid 8, it gets 2 additional points because it's batman.

Truth be told, hasn't he always been that way? :o

I actually thought that was a pretty good idea, FAR better than the supposed main villain in Walker Sloan.

It was a great way to explore the flaws of Peter Parker's character. Other writers far too often use the stupid alien symbiote as an excuse to explore his darker side. Having him eaten up by his guilt and develop and becoming desperate to save the people he loves shows how Peter's seemingly-wholesome character can actually be messed up like Batman in certain ways. Really loved his twisted take on the "With Great Power...." speech.

Not to mention he wasn't "emo". Future Peter still cracked jokes like the regular Peter would, and didn't dwell on the ones he lost that much. He was just crazy. Actually, the only flaw that I saw with this plot was that the revelation was too rushed and never saw what happened that killed his loved ones. A short flashback (especially with a Green Goblin cameo) would have been appreciated.

And how much do you rate SD?

Reminds me of alternate world Peter in Hobgoblin 2211 story from FNSM

That seems like a pretty stupid attitude to have... So if that game gets amazing scores across the board, you're going to assume it was because of the name 'Batman' rather than the games quality? Even though before AA, the Batman brand name was **** and ONLY became marketable again because of Rocksteady?

Like Havok83 said, but since you brought it up, do you perhaps recall anyone giving the Batman Begins game a 10?

I think its pretty clear he's talking about the video games, not movies
Of course he did, that was the wise mouth talk

Who mentioned the game? It received a 7.6 as far as I saw ratings of it
