Not to mention the big death, the major twists, all the Easter eggs, every major plot point of the film, and the very final scene of the movie. I think the only surprise they left for us was how bad the film would be when we actually saw it.

Damn I’m like usually 100 percent team shinlyle but..... I actually liked the movie and had fun with it. Thought it was much better then what critics and so on said....Would have had more fun if the entire movie was spoiled on tv.
However, Everyone entitled to their opinion....
Unfortunately yours is wrong for once![]()
That's a given by now.1 billion dollars is happening, boys and girls...so long as the movie isn't a total crap-fest.
I like 50% of that movie, man. The first 8 minutes dealing with his parents again, and the middle hour dealing with his parents...again, killed it for me. I loved the beginning scene and the ending. I just didn't like Jamie Fox as Max Dillon (liked his Electro, though), and I wasn't terribly fond of the Goblin. I like it just fine....just not as much as ASM1, which already dealt with that whole Parent issue.
And it's okay, man. We all have our illusions!![]()
You're probably right, a proper adaptation of MJ wouldn't be an easy job to do, but the thing is they haven't even tried to do one. And that's what really bgged me the whole time. TSSM TV series gave us a great version of a character so why this seems like an impossible job for the movies to at least try? I mean, what's the reason for Zendaya being MJ while not being Mary Jane? Even their explanation for making everything different for it to feel fresh doesn't work here because it's not like we had an accurate portrayal of her in the movies before so making Zendaya's MJ closer to the comicbook version would've felt different from what we've had with Dunst.I will say that I’m not sure if I ever want a true 616 interpretation on the big screen. Like I’ve mentioned I’m a huge die hard fan of the character. However i feel it’s such an “easy” character to mess up .
Most fans and the general public perceive her as a gorgeous dumb ditzy supermodel chick. Her personal demons, struggle, her family history, issues with self worth and so on are subjects that I don’t think anyone other then fans that are well educated on the material know about. For the reason it would seem like the easy way to just portray her as the that “cliche” hot female lead that contributes nothing but “screams of danger” and I don’t want to see that done to her. I just don’t have faith in the team that they would make it work.
So for that reason, I just prefer adding different spins to the character ( like the PS4 version, ultimate Spider-Man version, MCU version). Just seems safer that way.
Wow, this is a real cover?

I agree with all your dislikes though lol . They should have scrapped Jamie Fox and electro completely. Just focused and developing Harry/goblin. I will say though the action sequences were better then any other Spider-Man movie not including a train.
Yeah...I keep fearing they are going to jump the shark and bring in a live-action Miles and finish out Peter's story...after we just got him back! I don't mind a live action Miles, but just not yet.Hopefully not anything that would impact Holland’s future in the MCU.
