Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

speculation: what if
Fury in this is really Chameleon the whole time
The idea did cross my mind once I read Chameleon is involved, but how does he know? And I wonder if Mariah Hill is his sister; Camellia.

I loved this when I first saw it and still love
It. Hysterical. Tom Holland is a legend.

JB Smoove isn't Joe Robertson? Really? Why, Marvel? I'm hoping that the Sony deal gets renewed and we'll get a third Spider-Man film in the MCU just to bring in JJ Jameson, the Robertsons and Glory Grant.

Remy Hii Playing Peter Parker’s Romantic Rival Brad Davis In ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ ?

ScreenRant has revealed who actor Remy Hii is playing in Spider-Man: Far From Home and it looks like his character might be a romantic rival of Peter Parker, someone that may end up wooing MJ. They’ve revealed Remy is playing a fellow student named Brad and producer Eric Carroll gave some insight to what his dynamic will be with the group of kids.

Remy Hii will be a crucial part of those realistic high school dynamics, as he’s playing a student named Brad. As producer Eric Carroll explained during our set visit to the UK over the Summer.

“He is the kind of guy [that] guys like me and Peter hated in high school. His hair is always looking right, the clothes always fit the way they’re supposed to, he always would have something funny to say, and he’s read all the same books as MJ – or at least he lies and says he’s read all the same books as MJ.”

“We wanted to keep that sort of high school soap opera thing alive in this movie,” Carroll added. “So, if you really look back at the old Spider-Man comics, that side of it is really as important as the superhero.” A

“He’s not mean-spirited. He doesn’t pick on Peter or shove him in lockers. He just happens to make the girls Peter likes to laugh a lot, which makes Peter uncomfortable.”

Brad could end up a surrogate for Flash Thompson, as the MCU version of Flash is a rich kid that is still kind of a dork making him more of peer/friend of Peter than a straight-up bully or someone vying for MJ’s attention.

In the comics, MJ dated Brad Davis, an Empire State University quarterback. We believe there is a good chance Remy is playing this character.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is set for release on July 2nd.

We have several built up villains though for a SS already. Vulture and Shocker are already there and Gargan was introduced, so making him Scorpion for a 3rd film about the Sinister Six works well. So we have at least 3 members there. They also referenced friends on the outside, so maybe in some type of post-credits thing, we can get a hint of who that is, and then we have our SS leader there. Plus there is always the possibility of Mysterio joining and being a 4th member we've already met, but we have to wait and see what happens with him in this film first. But point being, the Sinister Six in a 3rd film is not really rushing it at this point.

I agree that it would't necessarily be rushing it to have the Sinister Six appear in the third film but personally I would wait until a fourth movie. Just to give it all some room to breathe.

Braddock reference?

When Cap hides in Peggy Carter's office at Camp Lehigh in the past Peggy is apparently going over some situation with underlings that includes some agent named Bradock. She says something about how the lightning being investigated isn't natural lightning and that someone called Bradock hasn't checked in as he was supposed to.

Many are jumping to the conclusion that this is about Capt. Britain. Thing is... Joe Russo on a podcast was far from confirming that take on the dialog and said this:

“I think we uh, maybe… or maybe it’s just a guy named Braddock [laughs].”

So, I would right now put this in the same category of those thinking that the Roberto Da Costa name in the memorial Scott Lang goes to in San Francisco as being a reference to the New Mutants character, which is to say... fans reading too deeply into something seeing what they want to see.

Nothing really new except Peter doing a little parkour. Would have been nice to see a bit more evasive movement since something about the pole running looked a bit awkward. Then again unfortunately I'm super hyper critical when it comes to any Spider-Man movement/ action sequence and over analyze the heck out of it lol

I’m glad that they aren’t showing much action at all and I hope it stays that way. I remember back with ASM2 they basically revealed every single action sequence through different commercials.

1 billion dollars is happening, boys and girls...so long as the movie isn't a total crap-fest.

Not to mention the big death, the major twists, all the Easter eggs, every major plot point of the film, and the very final scene of the movie. I think the only surprise they left for us was how bad the film would be when we actually saw it.
