What an army of incredible talent the MCU has amassed both older known actors and new young talent.

I NEVER Thought that I would see Mysterio in all his glory on a movie poster, let alone played by a Master Thespian such as Jake Gyllenhall, it is a GREAT time to be alive!

I wasn’t expecting to see Mysterio for a while, nevermind looking so awesome and played by a master actor. It really is awesome!:cwink:

Saw a youtube video with a screen cap of the post credits scene so watch out on youtube.

Luckily it wasn't anything too crazy

Just a screen cap of Fury and Maria Hill standing next to each other but I have a theory... see next spoiler tag so no one gets surprised spoiled if this turnes out to be true....

Old Man Cap will be revealed as the new head of SHIELD

The soundtrack is on Spotify and I just listened it. It was great. First of all it feels really nice that Spider-Man has a theme that appears in multiple movies. It's been a while since that last happened. I'm glad that Giacchino returned. The theme is not one of my favorites, but it's growing on me and I'm really starting to identify it with this version of the character.

The love theme is just adorable.

Mysterio has one of the best villain themes ever, assuming that he is a villain.

if Marvel Studios and Sony do the Sinister Six, could it work as a Avengers movie, since the story would be overcrowded with just Spider-Man taking them on.

The first half for the movie is rough. It leans way too much into awkward, forced comedy. Too much Mr. Harrington and Mr. Dell. I didn't care for those characters. Homecoming had enough of Mr. Harrington, who had a lot of his scenes cut that was enough.

The other issue is that most of the action is in the back half. it's good action and all, but I think they could've spread it out a bit more.

I liked Gyllenhaal's Mysterio. I can't say much more than that. It's a good update for the character.

Zendaya's Michelle is OK. I still I don't get why she needs to be "MJ" other than that she's a friend and love interest to Peter.

Basically in this universe, Tony Stark is Peter's new Uncle Ben. I don't love it, but that's just how it is now.

Also the movie definitely took some direct lifts from the Insomniac/PS4 video game.

I think once it hits the second half, it generally worked for me and felt more like a classic Spider-Man story. That's what I wanted more of I hope they can do more of in the future for live-action Spider-Man.

Woah, first time I've seen that mentioned anywhere. Somehow, I don't think they would look at the game for inspiration since the game isn't that old and the game itself takes inspiration from different versions of Spider-Man. Then again, I've no idea what you're referring to specifically so I guess I'll have to wait and see for myself when I catch the movie.

I'm still surprised there isn't an actual villain in this. It's gonna be weird having a Spider-Man movie without a real bad guy and just elemental creatures or whatever. So weird, guys.

If only someone turned out to be a villain or something, that could have really upped the ante.

At least Mysterio becoming the new Iron Man should appease some people who were afraid they were doing that with Peter. Considering they landed Jake Gyllenhaal, I bet they're banking on him helping fill the gap left behind by Downey/Evans/Johansson. Mysterio for new leader of The Avengers?

The cool suit and tech of Iron Man, the mystical powers of Thor, and the moral righteousness of Captain America. The hero the world needs for Phase 4.

Marvel is butchering the source material making Mysterio a good guy that will never surely turn out to be bad at the end!

Just one more way in which the MCU sucks.

Can't wait for Norman Osborn In Name Only to show up and be Peter's new mentor.

I was just thinking if Stan Lee was alive or well enough to do one final cameo for Far From From Home it would be a rather fitting final cameo if he was the one who played....

Jonah in the mid-credit scene instead of just getting JK Simmons back. After all, Stan did model Jonah heavily after himself, and he always said they should've casted him to play the part in the movie(and no, and he wasn't being facetious he was dead-on serious). Besides Stan Lee has played one his comic creations before since he did play Willie Lumpkin in first Tim Story Fantastic Four film.

That would've been a nice touch if that came to pass. But sadly it was never meant to be.

Imax 2D ticket for Tuesday night at 10PM purchased! Can't wait for this one!
