Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

I do think within the MCU, Uncle Ben existed. I think in CW when Peter is vaguely talking about "what happened" when he is explaining his motivation to Tony is a reference to Uncle Ben. But that said, it does feel like Tony is occupying Peter's father figure/mentor role in the MCU.

After seeing it a few times now, I agree that this is Mysterio’s created illusion at least that’s what I hope. As far as MJ knowing about Peter not too much surprised but I’ve heard
="She could be related to Fury"]
. But yeah this could have a lot of twists which is very much Spidey’s life.

Really dig this trailer. But I feel they showed too much. BUT like Endgame after 2nd trailer. I'm not seeing any more footage.

Same here. I’m not going to lose my mind over this like I did endgame and since the stakes aren’t as “big” I’m not being seduced by spoilers like before ....

I actually wish they would have shown a bit more Spider action scenes however the trailer did show more then I expected.

Also, in the first Far From Home trailer released before Endgame came out in theaters you do see him traveling with luggage with Ben’s initials on it.

Man does that Mysterio costume look awesome. Seriously, has there ever been a better translation of a comic-book suit to the big screen? I did really enjoy that trailer overall though, and I'm glad to see how much they will be addressing the events of Endgame in this movie. I get the feeling Peter is really going to become his own by the end of this movie which I know is something alot of people want to see.

I thought it was mentioned that those aren't actually Spider-Man villains like Hydro Man but some weird elemental monsters.
Well all the merchandising are listing their names as Hydro Man and Molten Man respectively. The question is whether they are just illusions or legitimately real people.

I think, as it’s been presented in Civil War and all the way up to Endgame, it’s almost cruel how Peter’s being pushed further into adulthood. To me it makes sense that Peter wound cling to Stark as quickly as he did. He encouraged him in ways one would assume Ben might have (Peter’s intellect) but he was also someone Peter could safely confide in with regards to being a superhero. With Stark the weight of having to protect anyone who might be privy to that particular bit of information was lifted. He was Iron Man after all...

...
but then Tony dies as a pretty direct result of Peter own actions (jumping aboard the mission to stop Thanos despite Stark telling him to stay on Earth), not unlike Ben did (not stopping the burglar.)

I would almost think it’d be funny to introduce Norman Osborn as another potential surrogate father figure only to have him be, y’know, Norman Osborn.

On the one hand Mysterio in this makes any scene kinda suspect... on the other we have to believe Sony is capable of using Mysterio to fake out the audience.

Love it. Looks like Happy is gravitating towards becoming Peter's assistant. That's just funny as heck to me.
"Hey, I'm going to be your new step uncle who marries your uncle's widow... I'll be your assistant now"
