Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

It’s always implied that something bad happened. Like when aunt may worried and peter mentions to ned “ after all the stuff that happened she’d freak if she knew”

So it’s implied that something maybe happened? But it’s annoying that they are playing around with it. Like the whole mj thing. Like either say it or don’t
It's all part of the plan.....

Cap and Hawkeye had new suits, BW had some new gadgets. The only people that Stark probably did not make suits for would be Banner and Thor.

Thor has the unpronounceable magic belt that was designed but never given to him? Maybe it will be used in A4? I’m curious since I don’t read comics so no idea what it can do.

I was thinking last night about the "8 years later" from Homecoming that doesn't make sense. Maybe they 'restart' time, undo the snap or something like that in A4 so Homecoming takes place, actually, after Infinity War and A4 and that's why they slipped that erroneous "8 years later"?

People need to let that 8 years later thing go. They ****ed up, they admitted it. But people still do mental gymnastics to justify it.

The "8 years later" thing is really, really, not a big deal. Continuity errors in general really don't matter much in the long run, people just make it out to be a bigger deal than it is. I blame Cinemasins.

What strikes me as odd is that they spend millions and millions of dollars in these movies but they don't get right a simple time line. Is just odd.

I mean it is, but if the rest of the movie is as good as Homecoming was then I don't see the point in complaining about it (not saying you are). It's an insignificant detail.

The MCU is known for its connectivity and attention to detail/continuity, right? So continuity errors in that universe naturally a big deal.

I’m happy to just ignore it, but I can see why it bugs my fellow nerds.

They're playing around it because we all know what happened. Nothing is different there

Yeah, they're not outright saying it because it would be unnatural dialog for the sake of unnecessary exposition.

Ben could get a mention in natural dialogue, even if its subtle. id argue there have been plenty of ways they could have done it.

Chances are they don't want to though.

Given now, Aunt May is aware that Peter has been moonlighting as Spiderman, emotions may surface from May, why Peter didn't do anything to prevent Ben from getting killed....especially given Peter told Ned, how much May has been dealing with Ben's loss.

I imagine she would be more worried about him going out fighting crime then she would about why he couldn't help Ben.

Yea just because he’s Spider-Man doesn’t make him omniscient.

Unless she knows Spider-Man was involved directly with catching Ben's killer, I doubt the first thing she'd think of is why he didn't save his uncle. Was he even known as Spider-Man at the time?

Most likely thing based on what we've seen so far (IMO) would be "I don't want to lose you, too!" or something along those lines. If we're lucky, we may get an Uncle Ben namedrop.

Before thinking about how Uncle Ben will fit in, you probably have to think about how Tony Stark will fit in first. because i doubt they will wanna overshadow the impact tony has on Peter by trying to sideline it back to Uncle Ben.

I don't see May just casually not having any thoughts or emotions, for a man she been with for so long, why Peter couldn't have done something, to prevent his death...he was right there; and apparently, his death occured fairly recently, given the conversation between Peter & Ned...as well as the fact, Pete already feel guilty, stating, "Aunt May will kill him if she knew" he was Spidey....I think that's the reason why!
