I mean we are still making a ton of guesses and assumptions based off of a trailer that doesn't mention or hint at any of the Endgame stuff at all. Sony had to market this movie sooner or later and this was probably the best way without heavily spoiling anything.

Exactly. Remember, this is not a Disney movie. So they couldn't date this for what was best for Disney. This had to be slated according to Sony's film slate, and Sony needs a big summer movie. This is it. They can't wait until near the end of April to market a movie for July. This was always going to start marketing itself before Endgame.

Loved seeing the seeing the web wings back. Would be cool if Insomniac included those in a sequel game.

Though thinking of the web wings, it does make me think of the Spider-woman rumours that were floating around. Probably just a rumour, but it would be cool to see a classic costumes Spider-woman gliding like that on-screen one day.

Though I think she would make a good Hydra villain/redeemed hero for the proposed Black Widow film.

None but the most hopelessly naive ever thought characters like Spider-Man or Black Panther were gonna stay dead. It’s not giving away anything that wasn’t obvious.

Like I said, of course it was obvious from a fan and financial perspective. It's about keeping up that illusion, though; that's half the fun. This reveal would have felt better after seeing Spidey return in Endgame.

Because to some people if a movie isn’t populated entirely by lily white Aryans, it’s “forced diversity” even when it’s set in a highly ethnically diverse neighborhood like Queens.

I know we'll probably see Harry and Gwen eventually, just saying what I personally would've preferred. Can't go back in time, though.

Even greater mystery is that Peter does not ask where are the Avengers question to Fury.

Well we know that trailers can add/remove scenes that are (or are not) in the actual films (Hulk in Wakanda?) so it's possible Parker & Fury do have this discussion in FFH.

The end of Endgame will likely be very relevant to this. Think about it, all of the heroes likely to work with Fury are getting retired. Spidey is really his best bet.

Retired? We at least know that Bucky, Sam and Wanda will be active moving forward, and whilst they may retire (or kill off) Stark, Rogers and/or Banner-Hulk, they surely wont all be gone.

I suppose (with Thor) he'll be off world trying to resettle his people, and T'Challa has a throne to keep in check. My main concern is Carol; she can fly, and I wouldn't for one minute imagine she's going to disappear again after the events of Endgame.​

Pretty much everything rubs me the wrong way and make me say “thats not spider-man”.

I don’t care anymore (not seeing this movie in theatres) since I have spider-man ps4 games right now plus spider-verse was great as well. And i can always rewatch spectacular spiderman for the 1000th time.

I hope everyone else who enjoys this version loves this movie though!

The Sand Monster is Hydro Man because he's going to shed tears after experiencing a tragedy in the movie...and the Water Monster is Sandman because no matter how hard he tries to stay clean, he still feels "dirty" on the inside. See? Character depth.
