I actually appreciated that the first time around, even as someone who hates the idea of a teched-up Peter with a passion. If you can't really do the internal thought-stream stuff from the books (only way you could achieve that is through a narration, which probably isn't a great idea for a film adaptation other than just little bookends like Raimi's), the A.I. thing was a really nice way to approach some equivalent.
The Peter/Karen banter was some of the most enjoyable stuff of the movie I felt, just really oozed "Spider-Man" and kind of fleshed out Peter's doofy teen awkwardness really effectively. Didn't hurt you've gt a great actress like Jennifer and the cool meta joke thing with the Bettany factor either.
If they've changed the voice, cool, whatever, Tony's had two. All good. But if this new suit (the regular updated one and/or the lame Iron Spider bullshiz - not the black one which seems to be a Fury/S.H.I.E.L.D. thing) is a Stark creation though, you'd kinda figure the A.I. would just transfer to the new one like Jarvis did for his various early ones. It's not like Karen was destroyed/"killed" the way he was in AoU.
