Is there no gamescom this year or why is everyone saying PSX is the next possible showcase of the game?

Gamescom is a possibility. But since this is a PS exclusive one would assume they would show it off there and two unveilings in 6 month is a bit much, I think, considering how tight-lipped they've been on the game.
I still think we'll get a new trailer at PSX, maybe some sparse info/screenshots early 2018, one last big showcase at E3 2018, and then a release of Fall 2018.
Spider-Man's Free-Roam Manhattan Area Will Be 'Four to Six Times Bigger' Than Sunset Overdrive:

How big is the world in Sunset Overdrive? I hope Manhattan will be close to size it was in Spider-Man 3 or bigger. It felt big and was wide.
So Spider-Man won a lot of Game of the Show awards:

I don't, I'd rather not see any movie costume in this one.I hope we get amazing Spider-Man 2 suit and the Spider-Man 1-3 suit and its black suite.

I really wish to see the classing chest logo as drawn by John Romita sr of all spider legs down, rather than the usual 4 up, 4 down.
When I see the lenses for the new game in the frames I used as avatar, they seem to emote more than camera lens focusing. Check how the top of his lens rims bend.I, for one, hope we get to see the new movie costume. It really grew on me. Bonus points for the eyes being animated just like the default costume (cause they obviously got the idea from the movie costume).

I think that's what the ex-Activision guy patented. US Patents are kind of ******ed (no offense) so I could see him being awarded something arbitrary like 2 handed web-swing....
Go to 2:12 and you'll see the two handed swinging from SM2. This feature has never, I repeat never been in any game ever since and I don't understand why. A lot of players don't seem to even use the feature, but I would use it all the time.
This feature gave you a huge degree of control over your speed and trajectory. You could use it to suddenly change direction, slow down or come to a complete stop while still in the air. It was the best way to match the speed of a moving vehicle and time a drop onto its roof.
As long as you had buildings on both sides of you, you could transition from line to line without ever being untethered, as you can see in the video.
I'm not surprised. Trailer slayed and reaction has been insane. This will be epic. Also, I don't want to live in 2004, thanks.
I assume you're responding to my post about 2 handed swinging. Why not include that feature in the new games? It gives you more control, and it's what Spider-man actually does.
The patent on the mechanic explains why it hasn't returned. That really sucks.
It's the only possible way to break midair.
Not responding to you per se, but I just find it funny that we are getting the first AAA Spidey game ever and some people are pining for a game that came out in 2004...We wont really know the full extent until we see more. I agree the mechanics in '04 were great, but I'm open- minded for something new.
I don't. Nor do I something I haven't played.
