Playstation Spider-Man (PS4) - Part 3

Yuri becomes a vigilante called 'Wraith.' Making her the Punisher would be ridiculous.

In all honesty here, I had no idea Yuri Watanabe was a real Marvel Comics character. Didn't occur to me to look.

Yes. I didn't really understand the Screwball hatred, in fact I thought she was at least more interesting than Taskmaster. I get it now though. The challenges became insufferable. I won't deny I gleefully swung over to her location when they were done, looking for a little pay-back. What was I greeted with? A high speed chase with a medley of those torturous challenges. I was in disbelief, sure someone at Insomniac was trolling me.

That Screwball chase was terrible. Really disappointing. She's a regular human and she moves faster than a car. She can jump further than Spider-man. Why? That was just lazy. They could have come up with something more creative.

Yeah her chase was just a lazy asspull. I thought she might have been using some tech to zip away, but nope.

It would have been far better to investigate the party goers and single her out.

Right after that final confrontation I had to google what Screwball's powers are. Turns out she's only an expert level gymnast. Yet for some reason they turned her into the Flash in the game. That whole chase felt like a final f**k you from the devs to the player.

After all she put you through, I wanted to kick her in the face a dozen times (same feeling as when you finally get a hold of The Riddler in the Arkham games). It was disappointing you just tackle her and the police nab her.

It would have been better to chase her on foot, like in the Blackcat DLC. She could freerun over obstacles, using diversions while her fans tackle you. That might have been fun. They even established that Screwball can hack your gadgets, so it would have made perfect sense.

All the chases in the game are pretty weak really, partly because you can't actually catch anyone until a scripted event, and you spend most of the time just chasing a tiny target in the distance with numbers on it.

The conclusion to her missions was bad enough.

In the previous DLC, she showed that she's not stupid. Spidey couldn't just pinpoint her location and track her down. She was smarter than that and wouldn't go down easily. So I thought to myself: "ok, I'm curious to see how we're going to outsmart this tech savy villain" since tracking and hacking isn't gonna work.

So, she set up her own party, on top of a rooftop, easily discovered through open social midia and stood in the middle of it. Wow. It's like they wrote themselves into a corner and didn't know how to deal with that either.

We couldn't even web her ass up by ourselves.

Played this again this week for first time since heavy playing in Sep, and lost 'all my moves' and utter rubbish at it, will have to get skills back.

So I bought City that Never Sleeps but isn’t showing up in my library to download. Am I missing something?

I think you have to go to the store and download each Episode individually.

You’re right. Thanks. I bought as a package so didn’t realize.

has anybody played the game in the Raimi/McGuire suit? I have not as my buddy has my copy and I have not had the chance to get it back yet.

I have been playing dlc 3 with it so glade to have it. Only bad thing is in the game the webs looks sliver I known they are but in the movies they never looked silver they looked black.

The raimi suit webs were graphite like in color but shined silver all of the time.

Maybe Graphite is a better way to say it but the suit never looked sliver in the movies. I have watched spiderman 1-3 like a million times and it was only like years later I found out that they where sliver because of the internet. I was like what. If not for the internet I would have never known they where sliver because in the movies they didn't look sliver at all. In the game they looks more sliver and less black than in the movies.

I disagree, theres a reason why every other artistic interpretation of the raimi costumes look like silver webbing. When the light often hit the costume right the webbing looked very much silver.

In set photos and such with different lighting it looked sliver but I didn't see those un till years later in the movie I never once thought sliver and it looks better being more black looking like in the movies.

It was always silver. That was one of my problems with the suit since the first movie. The video game has given me a new appreciation for it though, the reflective webs really set it apart and make it interesting.

I'll use it soon when I play New Game +. Now with ALL of the suits unlocked.

Okay. Finally got the game opened and installed on Christmas morning.

Wow. Best Spidey game since Spider-man 2. I've been too busy with side missions to even bother with the story. Only played up through the first MJ chapter. About to fight Shocker. I have one problem with it so far...and that's my son making me play as Scarlet Spider. Now, he likes the Advance Suit. Me, I prefer the classic Red & Blue. The Raimi suit is okay, but the classic is the one for me. Also, that Stan cameo was a tearjerker for me...since I am a huge Spidey/MJ fan.
