mehhh, I proud to say that I never watch any of star war movie

compared to the Sam Raimi's costume, the new suit sucks
I think it's a tie. Though, Raimi's may be a bit more because some people seem to act like they hated the films even before S-M3 when really they didn't.I don't know what's worse..the Raimi or Lucas Bashing.
Probably Lucas.
TMNT 1990 didn't have bad acting, wooden characters, etc, etc. That's my opinion.

EDIT: My bad. Wrong forum. This is the TMNT/Star War forum

A "few", but defenitely not the majority. No, quite a few people weren't a fan/hated the Raimi movies before SM3, myself included.
If their were people who disliked it, did they have the balls to speak out and stand by their opinion in the predominantly Raimi loved days?

Honestly, if you think any of the Star Wars prequels are awful, I think you're being a bit harsh. There are tons of very bad action movies that make the prequels look great.
I think the reason the prequels get so much flak is that they happen to be connected to one of the most popular film trilogies in history, and films that happened to revolutionize cinema. So yeah, they had some big boots to fill.
Sorry to be off topic... but that's exactly the reason the prequels sucked. They bore absolutely resemblance to the original films...they had terrible plots, dialogue, characters, etc... the biggest sin of all is that they weren't even fun! Not even a little!

You think people hate Raimi now? Just wait until July next year. If this film is great expect far worse things in this thread. And hopefully rightful bannings will occur.
But why must we always turn a reboot thread into a Raimi thread. Bashing or not. For God sakes people, if you hate these movies so much stop talking about them. It's not that hard. I don't care if you hate them, good for you, but these threads always change into something with Raimi.
So since this is a reboot thread, let's talk about the reboot. It's like people love to complain and moan.
We are getting a new Spider-Man film. A fresh start. Which has great potential. Bad costume or not, I'm looking forward to this fresh approach. Let's focus on that. We can have our debates, but not in the circles where these threads have been going for months.
Plot wasn't perfect, but good.
Dialogue....bad in all 6.
No fun? oh please.
RLM strikes again...his "reviews" are terrible.
Yeah, but those films didn't have a budget of 258 million dollars. What's SM3's excuse? And the word QUALITY should not be place in the same sentence as that film. Good for film critics if they like SM2, didn't Roger Ebert also give "Garfield The Movie" the thumbs up, great taste in films, eh? I'd rather think for myself. And I throw SM3 in there with the rest of the horrible comic book films. I don't make excuses for mediocrity. If you're referring to my sentiment that SM3 wasn't one of the worst movies or superhero movies made, then I can only say that I think you have a rather odd way of rating quality in films.
I find movies like Steel, Batman and Robin, Electra, Ghost Rider, Catwoman, both Fantastic Four movies, Supergirl, Superman 4, The Spirit, The Dolph Lundgren Punisher, or the 1990 Captain America to be much more deserving to be called some of the worst Comic-book films ever.
SM3's quality, and story was miles ahead of any of those films. And, as I've said before, Spider-man 2, while not high on my list at all in terms of being an adaptation of my favorite character, is a great film. Film critics and the general public alike agreed on that.
Again, it's the difference between adaptation and the product itself. JAWS is a great movie. Horrible adaptation. You don't have to have one to get the other. It's nice when you get both, but sometimes it doesn't work that way.
That's what'd I like to know. Like I said, I got chewed up like the wee little noob I was when I first voiced my dislikes of SM2 back in '05. Course, I was a freshmen in high school then, so who knows how I actually brought up my dislike of it.
Surprisingly, one of the posters who was civil (though he disagreed with me) about the subject with me was Herr Logan, a poster who had a reputation for being fairly demonstrative. Is he even still active?
Any who, the tide has definitely changed, most notably after SM3 came out. But it's the way of the world I suppose. However, even I get annoyed with some of the blind bashing that goes on towards the old films. There were definitely things I disagreed with, but even SM3 wasn't that bad. As a film, it's really not that bad at all. There are many films out there much worse. And honestly, SM3 isn't even close to one of the worst Superhero movies made, let alone movies in general.
