The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man Reboot Costume Part 4 - "What's that in his eye??" - Part 6

I don't mind the raised silver webs either.

Actual spider webs do look silver/very reflective when the light hits them.

I never had a problem with the silver webbing either, and I get why Raimi made it raised too, I think it looks really cool.

However, I prefer this suits webbing with Raimi's web design and the classic look, though I like this one alot, obviously nothing beats the classic.

Who mentioned the idea of raised black webbing in the closed thread?

THAT I would not have minded as much, as it keeps with the BLACK webbing. Still, I prefer Webb's suit in that aspect.

I really like the picture of the suit used on here:

Looking at this picture now, it feels as if the spider in the back is eating through the red to make more room for blue

Ah yes. Another victory of the designer.

I love the dark lenses, hope we get a high res version of this pic soon.

It reminds me of the Spider-man 1977-79 TV series' second season suit. Not saying it's a bad thing.

The suit looks incredible.

It's just when you look at the ankles/feet area....god I wish that changes. It's not really the shoes, but the design itself looks like crap.

on a side note i think they made him look to spaceman looking. looks like an alien with the black eyes.

the wide eyed one looks curious like you can imagine him turn towards you with those giant wide eyes seem to just hold more expression especially with lighting how you can make them grow or scale them down with shadow as if they are expressive.

I love the suit, almost on the same level as I love Raimi's, but looking at them side by side, I love alot more thing on this new suit then I do on the old one. The colours, the webbing, the material, hell I actually really like the gloves with the blue fingers.

Same here. Would have been perfect in the film. I really don't like the silver webbing.

See, that I would not even mind. Actually, it would make the suit absolutely flawless. Add in webshooters and that would be Spidey.

Perfect!

Exactly! That's one of the reasons I had absoloutely no problem with the raised webbing. It was fantastic.

It was so not fantastic.

Spiders also shoot webbing close to their ass, should Spidey have done that in Raimi's trilogy?

I hate organic webbing as well. It just doesn't make sense that Peter was able to create webbing inside him and shoot it out through his wrist. The other abilities did nothing to his organs from what we can rely on, but the webbing factor would mess up his inner "workings", imo.

Him not being able to have organic webbing is something that I chart up as a full mutation never happened and he'd only have that ability if he ever turned into a man-spider as shown in TAS. Thus, him creating a webbing-like formula fits more with Spider-Man.

And the whole "webs have a silver look when reflected", it still doesn't justify how the silver raised webbing looked awful on the suit. Spider-Man is meant to have black webbing in his suit and that's just the way I prefer it.

The only reason I like organinc webbing is: without it, all petes powers would be are wall climbing, super strength, and spider-sense.
I'm pretty sure webs are essential to give it that "Spider" feel.

But I do get the point about, "why does it randomly go to his wrists!?, why does it SHOOT out!! Real spiders have to pull and tug their web!?"

Also, spiders don't shoot web from their @ss. They have one exit for waste deposit and one exit for webs :D

second time you've said that to someone..u have a ass web fetish or something?

jk :oldrazz:

back to the issue of the size for the eyes/lenses..
like i said before, i think in the right hands, bigger eyes could be translated well to real life/film..take the mask I own for example:
