This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]350192[/split]
That looks exactly like Raimi's suit dude. The only difference is a slight design change in the spider and non-raised webbing. The eyes are a little different as well but if that was presented as the new suit for the reboot the "OMG THEY'RE REMAKING AND COPYING SPIDER-MAN 1 LOL THIS SUCKS" comments would be even more prevalent than they are now which is saying something.
My question is when can we get a suit that looks more like the comics again?
In the next reboot. I don't want a suit that looks like the one in the comics.

I think depending on how badly Spidey's costume gets damaged, we might see more updates to the suit.
Then again, we don't know how badly it'll get damaged, and from what we've seen so far, the most damage he's received were just a few scratches.
Why not?
Not until the next reboot. Even then I doubt it'll be what you're expecting.
I hate it when people act as though this suit is some incredibly bastardized version of the original suit.
It looks like an updated version of the classic design. Take it or leave it, it's what you're going to be seeing for the next 3, 4 sequels.
Why not?
The problem is that it's been updated poorly, like the Superman redesign for the comics reboot.
Because I like seeing new, different things, not the same thing over and over again.
there are a couple of things I don't like about the suit(the red/blue fingers annoy me somewhat irrationally and im not a massive fan of the small dark eyes) but a couple of things I do like about it.
I can understand why it's changed and if the story is well told and the characters are well written then the suit is of very little concern, could it be better? yeah a little, could it be worse? well yes actually it could get a whole lot worse.
Because, it'll eventually get boring. I love the classic design, I really do, but I don't want to see essentially the same thing with minor changes in every Spider-Man reboot.
Spidey's got his classic costume in the comics and that's what matters.
I'm more excited to see what other ways the director, etc of the next inevitable reboot can adapt the classic design while keeping the key elements in there as Marc, etc did for TASM.

You guys do realize that comic book movies are likely to fall out of vogue before a third series of Spider-Man films would get going, right?
What's your point?
My point is that there wouldn't be enough series for the classic costume to get old.
What makes you say that?
EDIT: And yeah, what's your point? xD
Instead we're getting "OMG THE COSTUME SUCKS! THIS MOVIE IS GONNA BE SO BAD!!!"
Again, what is the point you're trying to make? That we won't get the classic costume in a future film? Because that's fine by me, we already got 3 films with the classic costume.
Because people like you and Godzilla won't understand the fact that the suit we have was a necessary departure from the source. Jesus Christ.
