I hope thee web shooters actually glow bright red. That is sooooo awesome and a great idea

They do. I'm guessing this was taken from that scene:

Amazing-Spider-Man-mechanical-web-shooters.jpg

There's pictures where he doesn't have the lights, but a blue covering over them...

It'd be cool if Peter decides to further improve his webshooters by incorporating an "empty" warning light. :D

Question. Anybody else think its possible that Spidey might get his clasic suit at the end of the movie, considering that the one we've seen will more than likely be destroyed in his battle with the Lizard.

By classic, what do you mean? Eyes that aren't yellow... and a full belt, or basically, the Raimi suit... with maybe black webbing that this suit already has, instead of silver, raised webbing?

Yeah. Though not exactly like the Raimi suit. I expect something more similar to what the suit looked like in WoS.

I loved that design and I think it would work on film.

It'd be a cool idea, but I don't think they should do that, nor do I think they will.

Peter's suit got shredded in the previous trilogy, yet he never changed it in the sequels.

Well the design did change, but they weren't noticeable unless you have a good eye.

Anyways, I think it would be agood idea because it would quiet down any complaints about the suit going foward anyways.

However, it could create more complaints seeing how some would say "if you were going to bring in the classic suit, why not use it for the whole film?

Wow...I make mention of VenomSpawn's comment on thinking the new suit is better, and all these posters show up...

well...here's a big :funny: to all of you.

The new suit is nice...but better? HELL NO.

This new suit may be fundamental to the movie as TDK's suit was to that film, but I will always prefer a Batman suit that has a more comic-inspired look, such as '89 Batman. Do I enjoy Raimi's series? Not after 3, but I will pick Raimi's suit as the better one any day of the week.

And that makes me wonder...how many of you are actually liking the new suit, or just saying you do because you're a Raimi basher? There's a question I would like an answer to.

As much as I prefer a more comic look, again...there is no reason to change. This isn't Batman where he can always come up with a different batsuit as seen in the previous films, but Peter Parker doesn't need to redesign or "update" his look.

Well I'll repeat myself again. Am I a Raimi basher? No. Am I a Tobey basher? well...yes.

Main point. You are comparing Raimi's suit to Webb's suit, so there is no comparison between the "classic" looking suit from comics to ASM movie suit. So no, I still prefer Webb's suit. I think if you transfered Raimi's suit into this movie, it would look ridiculous. And in comparison of each other, in a real world setting, Webb's suit looks much better. Would Webb's suit look better in a comic book? From what I've seen from fan animation and drawings...probably not.

And in answer to your question, I would say no there's no need for an update, especially to appease fans.

That's the thing, there were minor changes. Colour tweaks and and whatnot. It's not the same as changing an entire suit's design.

Anyways, I think it would be agood idea because it would quiet down any complaints about the suit going foward anyways.

They shouldn't give a single crap about what some people are saying on the internet. I can honestly say that I haven't heard any complaints from the people who I've shown some of the pictures too. The only thing that came up (once) was "Why are his eyes yellow?... I thought they were supposed to be black."...so no worries there. :hehe:

Besides, they've spent time and money coming up with a new design, they should stick to it. Not collapse on the whims of nitpickers on the internet.

Look at TDK suit, people *****ed day and night about it, but what dya know? They kept it for the The Dark Knight Rises.

However, it could create more complaints seeing how some would say "if you were going to bring in the classic suit, why not use it for the whole film?

Not to mention this.

VVVVV

Yeah, if I like something more than something else, that must mean I hate the lesser one. You're right, my bad.

Oh and way to mock us because people think differently than you. Here's to you.

No. It's not going to happen.
The video game, which takes place after the movie has him in the same suit.

I would like a different more-accurate suit for a sequel though, we might get it we might not, too early to say. I hope they will, it will make me and a lot of fans happy. :D

Doesn't the picture show up? It's of his webshooters, the EW picture. Where the circular disc is like, a translucent red.

I saw that too. I'm curious though, how does Spidey load and reload the web shooters in this movie? and also, what does the digital-led display do? What's its function?

If you have google chrome and an image doesn't load, it often means the image is prohibited from being linked to off-site, you can click on the broken image, right-click to copy the image url and then put it into google images to see what the image is.

Thanks guys, yes ive seen the picture before. But now I can notice the red! :wow:

Well... there's one thing really that it could really be there for and that's to serve as a warning light when he's running low/empty on web fluid.

I understand how the suits look better in their respected films as my explanation of The Dark Knight's suit, but still, I will always choose the more comic-inspired look because those looks are and always will be "classic". To further explain that idea will make sense, but only to flat out say Webb's suit is better without any real explanation can become laughable at best in reading it. Webb's suit is better for the reboot, but that's about it when it comes to Webb's suit being any better.

And to update the suit for Webb's series would be outlandish to only make fanboys happy, and it's so not necessary. And I HOPE Marc Webb doesn't try to please fans by doing that; it would be a stupid move.

Oh and way to mock us because people think differently than you. Here's to you.

Aww, well thank you for that thumbs up. I appreciate it :woot:

hmm a nitpick, a lot of talk over the costume.
I reeeeallly thought they were going to make his eyes bigger than the Rami Spidey costume.
i did a quick manip, its like i dont understand why they always do things again and again. hire a actress known for her hair dye it red or blonde.
make a new spidey costume keep the eyes small and mean looking.

i always saw Spidey have bug like giant eyes that were friendly looking and expressive. not narrow and mean looking.

Looking at this picture now, it feels as if the spider in the back is eating through the red to make more room for blue

In the original Spider-Man teaser, they used a costume with big eyes on it.

Needless to say, it looked goofy as hell.

yeah look how awful they made the eyes look, they look like tear Drops or dishes on his face ^
and they tried to make it menacing looking with the downward angle / :

anything can be realized with a good sculptor. now they have computers to scan it to fit perfect to the face.
