I'm sticking this here because it says spoilers.Thank you for the information, and I'd appreciate it if I don't hear, "Just go see for yourself." I enjoy spoilers, and I honestly don't know when I'll get the opportunity to go. Again, thanks so much!!!What comes of Thor losing his eye? Does he wind up with a patch like Odin? Is it permanent, or does it get fixed/retconned by the end of the movie? Also, does he get Mjolnir back? If so, how?
Thor got his eye slice out by Hela using her blades, yes it is ndeed permanent, no it isn't rectonned at the end of the film, and no he doesn't Mjolnir back in the film
Thanks again folks! I really appreciate it! Y'all are the best!He taps into his powers fully correct? Is that due to him losing the eye similar to Odin, or are the two not related? Does he end up rocking a patch? Lastly, does he wind up with any sort of specific weapon similar to Jarnborn, or is he relegated to just basic weaponry?
Oh!Is there any allusion to him possibly losing his arm at some point? Does it seem like they're possibly setting that up as something to take place in IW? I know I'm kinda asking for you to tell the future, but I'm just curious on your general feeling if you think that's gonna end up happening?
Thor always had the powers within him and was relying too much on Mjolnir which Odin said was a tool to help Thor control his powers. Not any allusion to him losing an arm. Yes Thor has an eye patch like Odin and characters comment on the similarity, no Thor doesn't end up with any specific weapon just takes weapons from the dead Asgardians soldiers as he destroys them.
Oh, wait...I lied. One last question. So Odin dies in the movie. Does that mean Thor takes his place? And if not, who is running the show? I can't see them leaving Asgard without a leader.
and no problem you can ask away I don't mind one bit.Odin does die and Thor takes his place ad King of Asgard
Ok...you asked for it.
Seriously though...I really appreciate you not minding giving me the info. Between my health and some other personal stuff, I have no idea when I'll get to see the film. Alot has changed. I used to be a midnight showing kinda guy, but I JUST saw Spider-Man and Wonder Woman this week. I'm so behind...Does anything major actually happen to Asgard itself? It doesn't get destroyed or anything like that does it? Does Loki come clean about what he's done to Odin willingly? It seemed kinda odd that he was taking Thor to find Odin knowing what Loki had done. Meaning did he just forgive him, or is it a situation where it's just easier to have Loki along for the ride? How is Loki in the film? I've kinda read that it seems like Hiddleston may be getting a bit bored with the role. I wouldn't blame him really. He's had a full arc...more than most, so how is he used in the movie? Um...does anything else happen that seems like it may tie into IW besides the mid credits scene? Is there more to Strange's cameo than what we've seen, or is that pretty much it? Are there any other unexpected cameos? Not like the Matt Damon type stuff. Are there any other MCU cameos? Lastly, Feige said this film essentially starts a Hulk trilogy just with him being in other people's movies. Can you tell what story arc Hulk is gonna go on? Does it seem like it'll be something from the comics? A continuation of Planet Hulk? I guess Feige meant that continuation was gonna go through IW, not other people's solo movies. What position is Hulk in at the end of the movie? Is he still with Thor, or did he take off on his own again?
Question for those who have seen the Infinity War trailer from Comic Con?
I saw a bootleg version of the Infinity War trailer online and if I recall, Thor had both of his eyes. Maybe they just filmed the scene twice so that they could show that scene for people at Comic Con but wouldnt spoil Ragnarok. Or maybe Im remembering it wrong. Did he have an eyepatch in the Infinity War footage?
Thor had both of his eyes in the trailers too in parts where he didn't.
I suspect loosing the eye was decided late in post and not done during principle photography - which would explain why it looks as unimpressive as it does.
The leaked comic con footage features a shot of Thor [with two eyes] getting his head crushed by Thanos which was probably shot early in 2017.
Thor reshoots were done around July 2017.
They decision to loose the eye probably happened about the same time they decided to change the NY alley to the hills of Norway.
Right out of the comics.
