Did she have a name back then? I must have just thought she was a female Sand person lol.
Her name at that point may have still been "Babe Fett".

That Ventress bust looks amazing.

That Ventress bust looks incredible! :awesome: the price isnt though lol.

Saw this, found it an interesting read: some guy shows his two sons Star Wars (Episode IV) for the first time http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/motion-...cial-series-with-a-first-viewing-of-star-wars

The kids had seen the Clone Wars cartoons and with the blu-ray release the dad decided it was time to show them the movies. This entry is for their viewing of ANH. A bit long, but fun. This bit made me chuckle: "One thing they did understand upset them both greatly, and seeing their reactions makes me appreciate the way the films are set up even more. As I said, they've been watching "The Clone Wars" cartoons on and off, so when Obi-Wan started telling the story of Anakin and Darth Vader, the boys were excited. Then they heard that Anakin was murdered by Darth Vader, and they went ballistic. Toshi hates Darth Vader now, and he wants to see Luke "get him good," as he put it. The next day, he was still talking about how much he was upset by what he saw and heard, and when Darth Vader flew off after the explosion of the Death Star, unpunished, Toshi yelled, "Luke Skywalker's gonna get you next time!" at the TV.

Allen's favorite part of the movie was Obi-Wan's self-sacrifice during the lightsaber duel, and he recreated it for me five or six times the next day. It was the moment where Obi-Wan closes his eyes and simply stands still that affected him the most. Something about Obi-Wan's pose and the way he accepts what's happening really resonated for Allen, and he told me he that Obi-Wan is "the best fighter."

Allen is my type of kid

The best fighter, psshh. :)

Gotta love when kids find something to get passionate about.

I know this is Darth Krayt and Darth Talon, does anyone know who the other guy is?

Great article Bim, these kids are used to stuff like Avatar now so A New Hope must seem dated to them, but the magic of Star Wars still seems to capture the imagination of every generation.

Heh! That's Shae Vizla's nickname now.

It does but it's a hefty price.

Looks like Darth Nihl to me.

I heard it was Ventress who is responsible for Anakin's eye scar. Any truth to this?

Yes.

I always figured the Clone Wars would end with Ventress wounding Anakin, killing Ashoka, and Anakin falling a little more to the dark side in his revenge.

Actually, kinda how the 1st Clone Wars series ended. LOL

This was my exact prediction before Dooku canned her. Now I think Maul or Opress might have something to do with Ahsoka's fate.

She was really big in the comics that came out around the release of Episode I and the few years after, and she had that name then. Until Clone Wars she was probably the most used character with the least amount of screen time.

To my knowledge not yet, but you never know with Hasbro.

Further on Aurra Sing, Lucas asked for a female bounty hunter, a sort of female Boba Fett, to be designed and thrown in as a cameo in Phantom Menace. The intention was she would play a role in the next Episode. It was sort of "showing the gun hanging on the wall in Act I because it is going to show-up in Act II" thing. So that was Aurra Sing and she appears in one shot during the pod race.

And yes, the character was built up in EU between Episode I & II. She was a failed Jedi padawan, I believe.

But, for whatever reason, Aurra didn't make Episode II and somehow I'm guessing it became the character Zam Wessel.

Thanks, he seems a pretty cool villain, that trio of Darth's would be ideal villains for a post-ROTJ trilogy.

Yes.

Was Ahsoka in the old CW toon?

Interesting stuff guys, she's not really what I'd envision as a female Boba Fett though, her look and more basic weaponry seem to fit more in line with Tuskan Raiders.

It's not surprising she was never used, for some reason none of the movies have had a strong female villain, in fact Zam is the only female villain I can think of and she died pretty quickly.

Can anyone tell me the name of those giant walker vehicles behind Luke?

I'm still not sure if the old show is canon. The recent Mon Calamari arc in the new show sort of makes me think that the old one isn't canon even further.

Really?! NICE!:yay:

Certain things in the old show have to be canon. Grevious' cough, for example. Lucas and co clearly state in theROTS commentary that he gets it after Windu force crushes his chest at the end of that show, but i noticed that in this new show, he already has the cough....

Adywan says:

"Well i've almost finished transferring all the FX work to the new blu-ray sourced video. The difference in quality between the HDTV and the Blu-Ray is pretty noticeable. Some shots weren't as easy as just importing the new source video because of the slight differences in colour, grain structure etc. So these need a lot more work. But i've tweaked most of the shots in some small or large way."

I remember after TPM there were all this talk about how she was going to be this big character in Episode 2, but it never happened.

We saw her at one of the Star Wars Weekends at Disney World - this was in 2003, so it was after AOTC:

Apparently, it was bounty hunter weekend, Jango was in the next car:

Right before TPM I bought a movie guide. They had an article in it highlighting Aurra Sing and how she was going to be The Bounty Hunter for the Hutts in the movie. I was actually looking for her in the movie and was surprised she only got like 2 seconds of aire time. They also had an article about Yaddle and how she was going to have a friendship w/ Yoda. She also only had like a few seconds in the movie.

Shame for the actress that was gonna play Aurra Sing. :csad:

Nope, she was created exclusively for the current CW.

Those are called strange lightsaber-wielding-like walkers :oldrazz:

Gotcha, I still don't think she'll die. :woot:

:funny:

They are the World Devastors built by the Empire as a planet destroying successor to the Death Star.

That's not them, I checked and the things you mention are much larger. These are just walkers that are an evolution of the Scout Walkers and AT-AT's that were used to figth Rancor's.

WTF? I didn't notice that in the film and I'm glad, I hate the idea of there being anyone else in Yoda's race, he's unique.

Well blame this nearly identical picture for that...

I wish they would show some of Aurra's Jedi/Force skills...but didn't they were focusing more on the bounty hunter aspect and less on the jedi/force aspect...IIRC, it was said she may be too similar to Ventress....

I've been thinking the same too...I love the new show and love the old show...some one posted a possible timeline of events for the both series and seasons and how they could fit, I usually follow that...
