^^^ I like a mix, the variety on the show is great, personally I like eps with Obi Wan, Anakin and Ahsoka at least involved, we could do with a bit more Yoda as well I think.

I think the Maul arc and the Ventress arc will be separate. Perhaps they'll come together for a big finale.

That would seem likely since Maul will need his own arc but in the end the overall arc started with the Nightsisters plan.

Well that too :oldrazz:

Well who knows, i dont know if one will link to the other in some way but i dont rule it out either.

:D

Anything is possible I guess, it certainly looks like Death Watch attack Coruscant at some point from the preview.

Preview of this week's CW episode:

Description:

General Krell orders Captain Rex and the clone troopers of the 501st Legion to conquer a heavily fortified Umbaran airbase, and will not accept anything less than victory. It is an almost certain suicide mission, unless the clones can use their ingenuity to defeat their new enemy.

Krell is intriguing, I hope we see more of him in the battle in this weeks ep.

3 seasons and 7 episodes later, I'm hooked. I must say, I'm rather impressed with how much I enjoy the show. I expected it to be kid-friendly, but nooo. There's death and adult themes, just like all the best classic animated series.

Does anybody else tend to prefer episodes that focus mostly on Clone Troopers? I find those to be the series' strongest, with the Season 3 openers standing out the most. It was nice to see Fives again in the newest episode.
:hehe: welcome to the jungle :p

Well not that i prefer them necessarily, but those are usually among my favorites. The clones have simply come alive and for me it makes Order 66 that more difficult to watch. To see how the jedi and clones worked so closely knowing how things end up makes it bitter sweet.

I'm still wondering if at some point Rex leaves or something, because if there's one clone that can question orders it's him. I do hope we get a definite answer on whether he's with Anakin when the raid on the jedi temple happens or not, it's been bugging me because i like Rex a lot. For some reason i'm leaning towards no.

Hunter: Krell appears brutal in battle from what little we've seen on him. I do hope we see him in action more too. All kinds of ideas are flying around inside my brain regarding him, his motives and his fate though.

The new character I'm most looking forward to this season.....

....and the scene that most intrigues me.

Well Rex was created for the show so it leaves things wide open as to how his fate plays out, however it may be left ambiguous as Order 66 happens after the show ends.

I'm glad his story is a 4 part arc, it will really give the writers a chance to explore the character.

Also I'd love a scene like this on the show! :D

Was I the only one who actually kind of liked Krell?

Could that be a young Boba Fett, busted out of prison and back for revenge? It looks eerily similar to Joe Johnston's original Fett design.

This Death Watch doesn't seem to be the same one represented in the books.

I do too. Clones have recently become my favorite part of the SW lore thanks to Clone Wars & the Republic Commando novels. The Clone episodes always seem to be the most adult/serious episodes, I really wish the whole show was about clones. Though, the other episodes are entertaining...even the Jar Jar ones.

What were they like in the books?

Depends on what books he's talking about. In the RC series, they seem to be the same except all of the Mandalorians look down on them. The Mandalorians in those books aren't like the civilized ones in the show. They're a bunch of farmers/warriors.

I prefer that version & just pretend the "Mandalore" in the show is just another planet. It doesn't make sense that there's just the Death Watch (in traditional Mando armor) & the civilized people. Where do the Fetts fit in there? The Death Watch killed Jango's family, so he's not with them. & I doubt he'd EVER side with the civilized side. Republic Commando's Mandalore makes much more sense. & it's cooler since it's a planet of Boba Fetts. :oldrazz:

I like the description that someone used describing the Mandalorians as the "Spartans" of the SW universe......and thats how I somewhat envisioned them, even though I'm not as well versed in the EU......from what I knew before the CW depiction and from what I've seen...(only Mandalore episodes I've seen were the Smuggling?/Poison plot from last season)...and I wasn't too thrilled with the more civilized / advanced depiction...

...
How does Bonteri's son fit in with Death Watch...he was in a preview, it appears he led Ashoka to them, IIRC...

Ok so i've read a lot of speculation out there regarding the fate of Krell; some say he will be killed by Rex and the clones on purpose, others say he might get Rex and the clones killed, or maybe most of the clones get killed due to Krell's tactics and Rex takes matter into his own hands... others say he could be revealed to be a double agent and Anakin comes back and kills him off... considering the last episode in the arc is called "Carnage of Krell" i'm thinking things maybe dont end up well for him :funny: or maybe it's called this way due to the casualties he causes on the Republic side... but it's kind of nice not knowing off the bat how things will go down. What do you all think?

I'd be surprised if Krell doesnt die in the end, and i admit it would be a huge thing if Rex is involved, but i dont know if they would go down that route in the show... but maybe just maybe, this could lead to Rex leaving down the line? i've had that episode where he meets with the clone deserter stuck inside my head since i saw it and had this feeling that maybe this is what Rex's fate would be down the line after he does something that pushes him too far.

I don't see Rex killing Krell or Rex dying, but I do think this arc could have defining moments for Rex along with the ep you mentioned Bim, about the AWOL clone, that will lead to how his story plays out in the show.

I suspect Krell's tactics will lead to a lot of Clone's getting killed and Krell not really seeing it as a big deal, which will lead Rex to question his supposed duty.

Interesting, I have to say I like the way it's set up in the toon, with Death Watch as a renegade faction looking to return Mandalore to it's warrior routes.

Jango is mentioned by Obi Wan but they don't go into details about his backstory, they just mention he was a rogue bounty hunter.

I'm with Hunter I like the Death Watch in the cartoon better. It makes more sense to be called Death Watch if your a bunch of renegades.

Just watched The People Vs. George Lucas. Pretty great. It plays with both sides well enough. So even people who are more satisfited then I am will enjoy it.

It makes a good point...but one that was never my problem. But it's alright. I highly...HIGHLY recommend it.

Love your sig Optimus

I saw the new episode of TCW & Krell is really an unconsiderate scum. I loved those new underground tanks, they looked liked armored caterpillars.

lol kinda hot.

You know which character I think is hawt and she's from the video game Knights of the Old Republic. Bastila and I think Kate Beckinsale should play her if they ever make the video came into a live action film. Though I doubt it. Kate can be anything... Mirax Booster is a possibility.

I just saw the new episode of TCW.

Damn, Krell is an uber-*****e!
Darn, need to get this one since i was playing with the niece and missed it . So i take it he takes his lovely behavior from the previous episode to a whole new level :hehe: (dont tell me!)

I'm at Nar-Shaada on KOTORII right now. I ended up killing the jedi on Onderon (I sided with the wrong leader, I guess.) I was trying to play through as a good guy. Can I still beat it as a good guy since I killed one of the Jedi-Masters? They all seem like d-bags anyways. :oldrazz: It was kinda annoying that I couldn't change my mind during the battle or anything. I didn't have any saved data leading up to it either.
