I don't think he's actually confirmed Fett into canon. I absolutely could be wrong about this but as far as I remember he came close to saying he wouldn't have done it again if he had the chance but, knowing Lucas if he wanted it canon wouldn't he have added it to ROTJ?

It's still canon, look, the main canon are the movies but as long as they're not contradicted the expanded universe is canon too, the only things that are not canon are the infinities stories

im not sure if force choke can be resisted by strong minded individuals...has nothing to do with the mind...where as hypnotizing someone does

and Vader's ability to use the force quickly in the heat of a fight is proven in the Bespin scene where Han is shooting at him...he quickly deflects the blasts and then grabs the blaster...if Fett can move faster than a blaster bolt then yeah but I don't see that happening

I wasn't saying it could be resisted by them, just that if you are a warrior with weapons you can counter it.

In the case of Han he had a single blaster and was taken by surprise. Fett is well armed, has armour and is in combat with Vader in the scenario we are talking about here. It would make more sense for Vader to use his Lightsaber than lower his defenses to concentrate of trying to Force kill Fett.

I never heard of Lucas saying Fett's escape was canon either, but then again i dont get the Boba love and dont really keep up much with stuff about him

Well maybe everyone can get force-choked, but lets say that Boba knows about it and is prepared then it's more likely he would be able to attack his opponent at the same time as he's being choked. Whereas some regular joe might just stand there gasping for air, clueless about the whole situation.

That's the point I was making and Mandalore enlarged on, I know Dooku force choked Obi Wan but I don't it would have finished him off, plus Obi Wan had no projectiles.
