The live action show feels like waiting for confirmation of Atlantis! I could go for an Old Republic animated show as I've not played the games but find some of the characters interesting from what I've read.

Disney World last year released a bunch of pins in commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of Empire.

I got almost all of them. Except the ones that they only included if you bought the framed set or collector's set and the one with Mickey and Donald as Luke and Han with the Wampa in the back.

And I'm sure the Death Star will take me a few days.

I just have one question:

Do Luke and Leia have half of their father, Anakin's, midichlorian count? Or do they have the same amount of midichlorians as Anakin?

The midichlorian count for Luke is interesting, I was always under the impression Leia was the inherently stronger twin. Hints are her ability throughout the OT being some of the proof. She resist the mind control in ANH, she, untrained in the force, manages to hear Luke in ESB (originally she was supposed to hear Obi-Wan).

That's absolutely right...and also if we're treating Leia's line in ROTJ as a non-plot hole her connection to Padme was stronger as she seems to remember her a little and Luke can't remember her at all.

The Making of Empire Strikes Back book is great...it's massive, so I'm still going through it. One anecdote that I'd never heard before: during the medical center scene on Hoth, when Han Solo tells Luke he looked strong enough to pull ears off a Gundark, and Luke answers "thanks to you," Harrison Ford responded in on take by giving Mark Hamill a kiss instead of answering "That's two you owe me, junior."

I have to get the Making of Star Wars book now...time to use that Amazon gift card!
