Star Wars is a fairy tale, so it takes place in the past.

From this angle you can see his old clone wars armor on his back.

But the name of the piece is called Desert Nomad Obi-Wan Kenobi.

So it's safe to assume that it takes place before ROTS into ANH which interchangeable heads as Obi-Wan ages.

I figured it was meant to be representative of his years between ROTS and ANH and that he'd just took his armour with him when he went into hiding.

One a side note that head sculpt is amazingly lifelike, I cannot pass up this piece.

I've been looking around to find out more on the Nomad Obi Wan statue, apparently it's from a 12 inch maquette line. The pic below shows another look at it, but check out the pic after with the place cards and art for a Vader, Maul and Boba in this line...Look at the Vader one!

Lomrokk - If I'm not buying Maul or Vader, I'm not getting him.
Boba Fett - I have to see but that's a definite maybe. Outside my animated Fett, I don't have any Fett statues.

I wonder how much those 12" ones are going to be. I can't see how they are going to be over $200.

You've got the PF Darth Maul? if so I can see why you don't want this new one, I have the GG one with the Bloodfin so I want one with his Lightsaber, but The Vader statue is different altogether IMO as it's all about what the statue captures if the product lives up to the art.

This Aragorn is 14" and costs $225, so I could see the Nomad Obi Wan going for around the same.

eh, as a Star Wars fan, I have to say, personally, I'm only interested in the real thing, I've never been interested in these types of model collectables. Sure, they look nice, but when I would be sitting on the couch and had that sitting next to me, I think I'd feel like I should have spent my precious dough on something far more substantial and unique, that would accomodate my eccentric type personality and interests in unexpected ways.
It might even get depressing to look at.
