State your opinion a character - Part 1

I didn't like him at first but he became more tolerable over time. When he comes back I hope he either goes back to the cop of Mutant Town gig like from the pic or stays a bad guy. No interest in him becoming a full time X-man again or the stuff with Deathbird back in the day.

The only thing I really liked him in was that Last X-Man series. I liked the concept of him as a cop in Mutant Town, but I never really got into the actual series. Personally, I kind of wish he'd stayed with that and become something of a liaison to X-Factor Investigations, or maybe just joined X-Factor. Not a fan of him as some psycho villain who'll kill anyone in his way to prevent his future from happening.

I actually don't think that having Bishop trying to kill Hope is a bad idea. I'm not a fan of the Hope thing and all, but if Bishop felt a mutant child needed to be killed to save his future I could see it happening. The execution was way off though. They just turned him into an evil villain instead of making him someone that believes in something that the rest of the X-Men would disagree with.

I love Bishop and I can't wait till Hope flips out and threatens the world so he can come back from the past and kill her like he predicted

Yeah, I'd be fine with it if he didn't turn on a f***ing dime from being a decent man with deep connections to many X-Men into a psychopathic killer who'll shoot Charles Xavier in the face just for getting in his way. If he were a sympathetic anti-villain who believed Hope needed to die but would at least try to work his way around confrontations with the other X-Men out of past loyalty, I'd be more receptive to it. Instead, he's like, "You know, you X-Men are such great friends to m--MESSIAH BABY?! KILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILLKILL!!!!!!1"

Bishop was still fairly new when I started reading the comics and he was one of my favorites for years. I consistently loved him from his first appearance through around the time of District X. Once Civil War hit he started going down hill and I worry that the X-office has destroyed his character with this whole Messiah thing. Not only have they turned him into black Cable in appearance but he's nearly irredemable. I actually hope that Hope goes crazy and Bishop is proven right and shows up to redeem himself by helping stop her (though it should likely be Cable who stops her in the end if she does go nutz).

My favorite Bishop story was his The Last X-Man ongoing. It was just okay for the last two issues that had little to do with the rest of the ongoing but the main story was fantastic! District X also rocked but I was more of a fan of Officer Ortega's story than Bishop's role.

I don't think he's done anything he can't come back from. Cable will never trust him again but big whoop. Hell, Gambit sold out the Morlocks and inadvertently put Warren on the path to damnation. He still gets a room on Utopia and gets some from Rogue every now and again.

I agree with y'all, they blew it with the way they turned him into a villain. Could've been done so much better. I liked the character right from the first issue he was in, but they did not handle him well at numerous points. (And that pic of him by McNiven is awesome, like almost everything McNiven draws).

But he's kind of awesome as a *****e. I can just see him sitting in a darkened room, shrouded in shadows, talking to some evil mutant who crossed him. "I had a beautiful dream once. It was a dream where all mutantkind could come together and show humanity that we weren't a threat. That we could share this world and live in harmony and peace. Do you want to know what happened to that dream? Do you?"

"You did." Then his eyes narrow and the dude's eyes bulge, then go glassy as drool starts coming out the side of his mouth.

I both like and hate Chucky X. Great character though.

X was a great character at one time. Like most X-Men, he's been ruined over the years with numerous stupid stories, retcons and being made to kneel at the alter of ****ing Wolverine. He's one of that characters that was hurt by comics becoming less serialized pulp adventures and more nerd soap operas. Pick a point before he became a lying *****e, and ignore everything after it. Disregarding crap stories is your friend with Marvel.

Chuck sucks! That dude has done some jerky ass crap to his x-men! he has sat around while Cyke has soldiered and has basically used em as cannon fodder! when you come right down to it he's almost as bad as Mags Since he says he cares but will leave your ass behind cause his mission cant be jeopardized! i mean the dude built a "danger room!" haha you want me to go into a danger room!?! you must be out you cotton pickin bald mind! he could so turn mags brain into jelly and end all the fighting in a heart beat but instead i think i will send children into battle! though i loathe wolverine i understand not jumping through hoops for nobody!get your ass up and you go do some fighting sometime Charley Brown!
