State your opinion a character

Iron Fist, I think he's pretty cool. I like his power, like the character overall, not as big a fan when the go with the whole mystical whozawhatzit though. Prefer just the physical aspect of his powers.
And i HATE his original costume. Best thing they've put him in imo, is in just the pants, mask and wraps. Looks very cool.

Iron Fist was one of my favorites when I was a kid and he still is to this day. I will say that I was one of the few that defended his old costume. If Iron Fist is in a book I am going to buy it.

Did read much of his older stuff. But Immortal Iron Fist was ****ing sweeeeet. Fraction has been all down hill since then.

Love Iron Fist and the mystical aspects as well.

Brilliant team working on Immortal Iron Fist; Brubaker WITH Fraction, David Aja and I think Hollingsworth's colouring work is the true unsung hero of the series...

Thor

I love the Nordic bastard, he's the perfect blend of serious mofo and party animal. What's not to love ?

Yeah, one of my top 5 characters.

Guys just awesome.

What was your defining moment for the character?

For me, it is hands down the famous line from Ultron Unlimited, when Thor and the Avengers, after just owning 100's of Ultrons, knock down a wall, battered, bruised, and Thor just says, "Ultron...we would have words with thee."

BADASS!

Size, girth, muscle, red cape, hammer.

Thor doesn't need to do anything to show his badassery.

I was gonna say the same thing actually. One of the most bad ass moments in comic history.

Although Thor wasn't shown at his best, I loved the Blood and Thunder story, where he had "Warriors Madness" and went around smashing the **** out of everyone.

Also, cracking that Celestials head open back in the day. Bad ass.

Not really a fan. I always felt that he was too powerful to be hanging out with the Avengers, but he's been a part of them for so long that I always expect to see him. He does have cool moments when goes off and beats people's ass, so I'm not opposed to seeing him. I liked his movie, and I look forward to the sequel.

I've always, always, always loved Thor. So glad his movie did so well, maybe now the GA will appreciate him more like they did for Iron Man!

In the process of collecting reprints of all Simonson's run.

I love Thor. I read the Simonson omnibus a couple months ago and it's about as good a work of fantasy I've seen or read in any medium.

Thor is simply the best.

What I love about him is the way in which they made the differences between Myth Thor and Comic Thor actually character development, which adds a lot of nuance to the character. Before he came to Earth mostly full time, Thor was, just like in the myths, arrogant, violent, hot tempered, a little stupid, and juts a general Leeroy Jenkins. But him time on Earth as a human amung humans taught him patience, humility, and an appreciation for intelligence. But, Thor's still been alive for 3,000 years and he's only been on Earth for about, like, 12 in canon. So, you've got a character with mellenia of ingrained instincts and habits that befit a monsterous barbarian, but with the life experience to know that said instincts are counter productive, and you see that struggle in his stories. It's really cool.

Love Thor, love his movie. His fights with Juggernaut were always some of my favorite comics.

My favorite character of all time. Easily one of the most versatile characters, with the complexity of his familial ties, the philosophical potential of his existence as a true god, the sheer badassery of being able to beat the s*** out of dudes with a hammer, the cosmic potential of his astronomical power level, and the richness of his mythological past. Super-awesome character, and I'm glad he's finally on the rise again thanks to his movie, the Avengers movie, the restructuring of the comic Avengers around him, Iron Man, and Cap, etc. Shame they're killing him off (again) soon.

Yea, Thor is a bawss.
The biggest bawse, son! :thor:

Thor is the man. One of his best moments to me is when he beat down Iron Man after Civil War
Also love Ultimate Thor (in the first two volumes of the Ultimates, which are the only two I recognize as valid).
Oddly, I did not like the movie. I found the portrayal of his fighting skills very disappointing. The fact that he destroyed the Destroyer with ease after getting his power back was also highly disappointing. And Asgard smacked of alien sci fi type of aesthetic rather than medieval, which grated on me the entire time.

I like Thor because he really adds flavor to a group of guys in spandex.

This is Thor, God of Thunder, walking amongst men. Because he can.

That said, I think Thor REALLY doesn't need a human persona. I think he should be Thor 24/7.

I will say that, as much as I like Thor I never liked his "origin" story. I really don't like him in a human form. In fact it used to confuse me greatly, like was he Thors mind in Donald Blakes body or Donald Blake with Thor just trapped in his mind?
