I love Cap. I got my start with him during Waid's epic run. Been a fan ever since. The guy is just made of awesome.

Okay, time to interject some estrogen into this sausage fest.

Scarlet Witch

Not a fan. Bendis put the nail in the coffin for me when he introduced "chaos magic" after HoM. I want Wolverine to gut her right after she repowers the depowered mutants.

That costume... what?

Umm... anyway...

I like Wanda a lot. She's had great stories, her dynamic with her brother and father is fantastic, as is her relationship with Vision (when they're both alive and not evil). Their marriage was actually pretty realistically handled for two characters with as much emotional baggage as they have, with all of the flase starts and turmoil you'd expect but a lot of genuine love.

I though Dissassembled was actually a pretty neat idea, seeing as how she had struggled with mental illness in the past and did have a lot of demons, but the problem with it was how completely out of nowhere it was. Her breakdown was completely off screen and that made it really jarring. If it had been drawn out into a much longer storyline, a sub plot within the main Avengers title where she regained her memories of her children which reopened all of the old wounds pertaining to her failed marriage and her issues with her family, and she became obsessed with bringing them back as a means of "fixing" her family, and starting amassing more and more power she had a hard time controlling which, along with all of that pain returning to the surface, made relapsing into mental illness increasingly likely, you know, if we'd seen that as a properly paces character arc and then had it come to a head in one big climactic story arc where she loses control and things get completely out of hand, then that would have made a really epic and tragic Avengers story.

But that didn't happen, instead we got ****.

(i mean, seriously, Vision, who's as much involved in her arc and her breakdown as anybody, had all of two lines and died two pages after he showed up, what the ****)

Still, great character, great relationships, a very real and resonant portrayal of someone who's struggled with less than idealistic family life and mental illness, love her all around.

Never liked her, and damn are those some very not pants she's wearing.

Actually, he tried to eliminate Chaos Magic and Slott stopped him with a rolled up news paper to the nose. :o

I dig her. Mainly from Busiek's Avengers run. She did a good job as Avengers Chairman. Also, I love all the crazy love triangle stuff she's got going on between Simon, that coin operated vibrator of a husband she had, and one time, she even hooked up with Cap.

She has worn skimpy outfits before, but that one looks like it was designed for the sole pupose of having sex.

She does get more tail than any Avenger this side of Tony Stark.

She married a talking "Massager". The chicks a freak. Super freak. She super freaky.......yow.

A talking massager with the soul of a poet. :o

But, yeah, when your only male companionship for most of your life is your brother you're probably gonna have some weird expectations about sex.

By the time Bendis was done with her, she'd turn into a broken down impressionable ***k-toy for just about any male superhero with a grudge against her.

I was okay with Wanda. And while most people cringe at the use of her as the ignition of Avengers Disassembled, House of M and M-Day, I thought it gave her that pole position of perhaps the most powerful character in Marvel...for all of 5 minutes.

What I don't get is how Bendis keeps insisting that Secret War was the build up to Avengers Disassembled which was the build up to House of M which was the build up to Civil War which in turn somehow built up to Secret Invasion which of course ties in perfectly with Siege...

Ouchie mama!! Maggy daughter be fine!( better than that George prez gypsy crap she use to sport!)
shhhhh dont tell anybody, but I am sucker for good romances!I'm man enough to admit it!(No! i dont read Harlequin romance novels!) but i dig when theres a good relationship between credible characters I was a big SW/ Vision ..what's the word? .."shipper!"( what can i say ! I'm a big Softie at heart).I thought it was awesome that she saw past that he was a synthetic man and wanted to hook up with him!I loved that "i dont care what you look like,it's what inside that counts" "Bubblegum stuff" (Sue me.I grew up on " The Pina Colada song!")That whole (*&^ about her going to the dark side pissed me off though... but her and the Viz was awesome! Plus if you pissed her off she could do some damage( Ultron found that out when he thought "fool you cant hurt me, but how come my internal wiring is jacking the hell UP!!"... and come on! that is one hell of a rocking OUTFIT!! SW rocks

Yeah baby!( isnt technology wonderful. I would've spend hours in my garage looking for this stuff!)

Busiek's work on Avengers is like my favourite ever. So of course I like her.

Then Bendis got his clutches on her...

Oh ****, i'm having deja vu.

She needs to come back and be normal again before Bendis ruined her. He made her the goddamn pariah of the entire universe. :(

I clicked on the last page, saw this post, didn't pay close enough attention to the filter "her" and thought "That could be any of a dozen characters...

:bdh:

I loved the Scarlet Witch due to Avengers West Coast, Busiek's Avengers, and X-Men: First Class, in that order. It's a crying shame what Bendis did to her. It'd be awesome if she used her reality-warping powers to reset reality so that everybody was cool with her again at the end of The Children's Crusade, but somehow I doubt anyone would have the balls to reverse Bendis on something that big, even this long afterward.

Never been much of a fan, but I don't think of her either way. I've read enough with her just never jumped out to me.

Young Avenges got cancelled because they wanted to make Wanda a supporting character and have her redeem herself by ressurecting Scott Lang, which Bendis vetoed, so odds are you're right.

Of course, that would have probably resulted in a love triangle between Wanda, Vision, and a fifteen year old girl, so perhaps that's for the best.

Well, Vision Jr. It's not the same character or anything. But that still would've been weird.

C'mon, a reality-warping Mutant couldn't somehow make herself younger? I highly doubt it. She could have made for an interesting addition in Young Avengers. Heck, "her" appearances in Mighty Avengers got me very excited till it was revealed that it was She-Loki:dry:

I never said she couldn't make herself younger. Just that the Young Avengers' Vision is not the original Vision. 'Cause he's not.

As a rule I hate reality warpers. I didn't mind her during Busiek's run, but after that she can go eat a **** sandwich.

Nah, he's got Young Kang's brain engrams instead of Wonderman's....so he might not even be attracted to her. (Though he'd have to be gay not to and even then it's a stretch. :o )

He's got young Kang's brain engrams, his body is young Kang's armor, and his powers work differently. Totally different character. All he has in common with the original Vision are some memories that he feels no emotional attachment to. It's like he watched a TV show of the original's life with perfect recall.

I distinctly remember a conversation in YA between Vision Jr. and Jarvis where Vision Jr. self identified as Vision Sr. And then there was the bit where Vision Jr.'s programming went when they figured out that Wiccan and Speed where Vision and Wanda's reincarnated kids.

Plus, I doubt the writer would have included a new version of The Vision and the reincarnation of his son's and the (ultimately aborted) quest for the Scarlet Witch storyline if he was going with the "completely new character" rout.
