Winick's Outsiders series was cool. Bedard's run would've been cool if they'd allowed him to do it, judging from the characters he picked. Never really been interested in any other versions.

What characters did Bedard end up picking for the series

Geo-Force's symbol should totally be a Geodude.

in all their many incarnations!My #1 SUPERTEAM For about the last 20 years! you know if your team's name is DOOM PATROL you have to freakin rock!Never has a book..besides Playboy hehe given me more pleasure! My absolute fav was Morrison's. i still dont think he has done a really good book since DP!. it suited him well and was right up his alley for non linear crazy ass writing. DC must have been like "Hey dude go for it!nobody buys it anyway so you can do whatever you want to." Rebis, Robotman, Dorthy, the Sissormen, Red Jack, The brotherhood of Dada( which is just pure unadulterated genius!) Mr.nobody, "the painting that ate Paris!"( not the Hilton one.. though i wish one would. i kidd i kidd. ) that &^%$# was brilliant, but my all time top fav "CRAZY JANE!!" if you have 69 personalities and each one has a different super- power( you are one bad mama and that is just insanely cool!!). i will always love you DP!I love it even more that alot of people don't get it, don't understand or whatever since it keeps getting cancelled and to those who keep getting rid of it at the powers that be at DC.. as Charlton Heston said in " Planet of the apes! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!! cause DP freakin ROCKS!!

PS. whenever i have to go thru life's shenanigans and crap. i always tell my non comic book crew. "I'm on Doom Patrol." which led to the inevitable "HUH?" i don't get it" with me saying said skip it.. you wouldn't understand!( but robot man would!)

I love Doom Patrol. It was DC's first attempt to do a Marvel-style series and they struck just the right balance with it.

My favourite members are Kate Goodwin aka Coagula, Robotman, Crazy Jane and Danny the Street

The Morrison and Pollock stories are my favourites but I loved the original series too

After reading Morrison's Supergods book it got me really interested in checking out his run on the book. I've heard good things about it over the years as well...maybe sounds like a good time to start.

Black Adam

I like him better as pure villain and less as DC's Namor. No one who kills as mercilessly as Adam does should ever be portrayed as anything but evil.

That seems a little overly simplistic. He's got some genuinely sympathetic bits to him. Plus, he's only ever been portrayed as an anti-villain at best.

went from being your standard "lets make a evil verison of the hero" to totally ass ROCKING! For me when you can feel for a bad guy and understand why he does what he does. thats when they hit a whole nother level!i could understand Black Adam being pissed off and going after people after what was done to his country( that lets rob a bank and get money can only go on so long). i love when dude would float just inches off the earth . like didnt want to soil his booties with the same dirt as digusting earth dwellers. That was cool!
oh!and how could he not rock his name begins with Black! Come on!
plus i love his design it simple yet eye catching. Black and yellow is a cool combination! Hmm reminds me of some one else wears black and yellow.. name starts with black too .. what was his name again?.. oh well! BA IS bad to the bone and he Rocks!

Depending on which writer handles him, he IS Namor in a black Captain Marvel uniform.

I think I've said my piece about the whole Marvel family thing. It extends to Black Adam.

If say they did a Black Adam Jr. and made him like Kid MarvelMan, then I'd be interested.

I love how people try to say that when they make Aquaman act like he has more of a backbone, that DC is making him like Namor. People say that when DC fleshes out Black Adam more since 52, and it is making him like Namor. So Aquaman and Black Adam are the same then?

Didn't think so.

Because neither comparisons with either characters to Namor works. Read a comic book. Hell, even read Namor's own history of work. You've probably only read him in cameos.
