The Flash rogues are definitely top notch. Honestly, I think they are probably some of the best villains in all of superhero comics.

I REALLY enjoyed the Final Crisis Rogues Revenge miniseries when they showed the "new school" rogues how it's really done. Just some cold stuff right there, literally. :cwink:

Well, that's it for the Rogues.

Batman and Robin

You know, the general concept of Batman and Robin.

I like Batman and Robin best together. When Robin cam in, the whole strip got better. I like kid sidekicks in general, and Robin and Bucky were the first.

I like Batman and Robin a lot. There's a lot to be said for the Batman concept, but I think it gets better when it is examined with a sidekick. Then there becomes an issue of 'is this something a child should do' even if they can. You have to delve into the anti-hero's psychology because now it's being reflected and reproduced. And generally, it gives these dark hero's some sort of protective responsibility that fleshes them out from one-man killing (or in Batman's case, maiming) machines.

I don't like that the Robins were made visually interchangeable. I understand why, marketing-wise, but it'd make my life simpler if there was a visual cue to denote which Robins are different.

How many kids have to die before Bruce realizes that his hubris is to blame. Why don't kids go to Afghanistan? Because it's dangerous. Just like hanging out with Batman.

At least Spider-man and the Torch have powers.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

As much as I love Batman as a solo hero, I like the combo of Batman and Robin more. The worst thing Schumacher did with the movies was take the natural father & son relationship and turn it into older brother & little brother. Two movies of these guys yelling at each other until the end; Batman and Robin, the early twenties, sexually-curious wonder.

Really like Batman and Robin. The current incarnation is extremely interesting as I love the way Bruce and Damian are interacting. Bruce having trouble JUST being a father and Damian just basically being the snot nosed arrogant kid that he's become. It's great stuff and I suggest anybody who isn't picking up the current Batman and Robin series go for it...plus you'll get some AMAZING artwork by Patrick Gleason!

As much as I'm typically against the idea of a kid hero (with a few exceptions here and there), Batman just doesn't work well on his own. As far as I'm concerned, Batman needs Robin more than Robin needs Batman. This is especially notable in the case of Dick Grayson.

To be fair he has only gotten one killed

So far >.>

But, to be fair, Todd disobeyed orders, which led to his death. Steph tried to prove herself by dabbling in plans she didn't understand and "died".

So it's not that they die because Bruce is recruiting kids. They die because they're not old enough to understand how to obey orders or emotionally and mentally handle the strains of such a life.

...wait.

I see what you did there

Technically Steph was never dead. She was chilling in Africa with Leslie, probably getting into all sorts of wacky adventures and helping Batwing solve mysteries

Now I've just pictured Steph and Batwing with a Mystery Machine van cruising across Africa solving mysteries.

I prefer Batman solo, and after that I still prefer Batman and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain). None the less, I still dig Batman & Robin.

" Fly ROBIN FLY!"though i love Dick ( that dont sound good!) i have never ever been into the kid sidekick thing. i know they were created so kids reading comics back then could have someone to identify with, but they just could have made just teenage heroes. No wonder i dig Spidey so much... and all that" holy this holy that" and "chum"( aint chum what they do to get sharks?) got on my everlasting electric nerve! Plus sorry!! the idea of a 13 year kicking the crap outta people! well there is only so much comic disbelieving i can do!( especially a 13 without powers) That aint going to fly with me! All that being said i like B&R( is that like PB &J)they rock... sort of!

I prefer Batman solo, but I like the Dynamic Duo. Bruce and Tim were the best imo
