If anybody woulda been able to write a love letter for the character I'd have figured it woulda been Kuro.

I mean he called the JLA some Jive turkeys when they asked him to join.

Guess we just gotta wait for BlackVulcan to come in and school you suckas.

That was the BL I liked. I love blacksploitation, it is so hilarious. It's also why Luke Cage ruled back in the day. And let's not even get into Misty Knight's hairdo:

Well me before Hanna-barbera got their jabber jaws on my ass and turned me into a token black superhero, because they needed some flavor on the superfriends! No joke! Tony Isabella ( BL’s creator)was so pissed about BL being on that show. HB couldn’t use lightning and created Black Vulcan instead. BL Freaking rocks obviously (he’s my namesake/ kinda!) one of all my time top DC characters ever. I’ve dug BL ever since the Justice League wanted to induct him and he told them to shove it! Dug that he cared about the little guys, that to him the league didn’t care about and wanted to protect. Along with speedsters and super-strong. Lightning tossing is my favorite power!( has to do with loving lighting lad as a kid)Love that to keep his secret ID safe he talked jive, but was really a educated school teacher. Brothers don’t have to talk “black! To be "black" you know! ( how the hell can you talk a color??)He and batman was what made me dig the Outsiders so much baby! I freaking love BL! He so rocks like sly and the family stone!

I second the desire for a comic book about her and Mr Miracle adventuring through the universe. I'm hoping that the utterly atrocious Death of the New Gods has been retconned away and that she's back along with everyone else

Thunder is pretty and I really hope that her and Grace show up in one of the new 52 series. I love those two

Lightning sucks though I really dont see why they even bothered to create her. She has never done anything interesting

I know most modern fans drool over Wally and hate Barry, but I've never gotten that since Wally is a 100% Silver Age character just like Barry. I still think Kid Flash when I think of Wally, but that's because I grew up with him as KF. But I did like Wally as Flash, I just wish they hadn't killed Barry to make him Flash-they didn't have to, Barry was going to the future to live with Iris after the Reverse-Flash murder trial. None of that seems to matter now, 4 reboots later Barry never died, the Crisis never happened, and there seems to have never been a Wally West even though Roy was Speedy and now he's whatever the hell they call him in the Starfire ****book and Batman has had about two dozen Robins in a 5 year period.

My favorite Flash will always be Jay Garrick but I like all the Flashes.

Wally rocks! loved him as Kid flash( still one of the coolest names ever!) and loved him as the Flash! Barry's my guy ,but there's place in my comic book panel heart for both of them! ! He really took from Spidey as the Everyman hero when he took over for Barry and that's why he Rocks likes "Pork chops and apple sauce!"

I love super speed!i wanted it as a kid so i could do my homework in a.. uh well uh Flash!

oh and damn anubis! a brother cant even get a chance to talk about one of his greats! i know i know nobody cared!!


well.. cause I am a BL enthusiasts. A little known fact… Tony Isabella wanted to create a black hero called the “the Brown Bomber”. He was going to be a black dude who in his secret ID would dress as a racist white dude!( obviously DC wasn’t having that) BL’s original Afro Wig( that wasn’t his real hair y’all) and white mask is the carryover from the Brown Bomber! Tony Isabella rocked and especially for having integrity to not let Hannah –Barbera get their Scooby doo hands on his character and not pay BL the respect he’s due.( how you just gonna throw him on a team cause you need a brother??).He didn’t take that *&^%$ from the justice league and he sure wasn’t going to take it from the” Friends”. Tony wasn’t having that When as a lot of people do now just for the money honey!

Wally is the Flash that Johns and Didio can only wish that Barry would be.

Will never have a run as good as Barry Allen under Cary Bates. Never cared for Wally as the Flash.

I like Wally. He is the Flash I grew up with. I don't really hate Barry, but I hate how Wally has gotten thrown by the wayside for him. Wally has been one of the most screwed characters in comics in the past couple of years.
