State Your Opinion on A Character - Part 1

Booster's one of my top ten faves. Always entertaining.

I love Booster especially when he's with Blue Beetle. Those two were fun on a bun during the JLI stories

Booster's ongoing series was pretty neat too

Is "the Tick" catchy heroic shout inspired by this ape?

Grodd inspires all to greatness with his ape-y genius

Yep I'm liking how he's being written in the new Justice League International comic book right now too

Makes me miss Ted Kord every time I see him make an appearance.

The character never interested me until I read the 52 maxi series. Then I picked up the series Johns started and then when Jurgens took it over it really turned into a great book and they made him a very excellent character. However, after the reboot the character has fallen into very uninteresting territory because it seems that everything that happened in that Booster Gold series meant ABSOLUTELY nothing. Probably one of the biggest pet peeves I've had about this "New 52" reboot

I like Booster Gold. He had pretty good character development and then DC had to piss it all away after Flashpoint. It's one of the reasons why I stopped reading DC.

I mean they kept continuity with certain aspects of the Batman universe and the Green Lantern universe...why they couldn't let Booster Gold keep his continuity considering he is a TIME TRAVELER is beyond me. Unless they reveal something later...but I don't see it happening.

Yeah I know. I mean if the those Legionaires that are trapped in the 21st century retained their memories and continuity why can't Booster Gold ? They could have had good story telling with Booster trying to convince everyone that this isn't how things are supposed to be. Maybe have him fight Barry for f****** up the timeline because of his mommy issues.

Well, that's it for Booster.

Maaaaaaan f**k Barry Allen! :argh:

Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)

i liked Ted! up until he hooked up with dumbass BG he wasn't a bonehead and was the dude/ cool inventor had the cool ass car/ mobile/ owl ship/ beetle( i use to really dig heroes and their vehicles as a kid. Then the Blue and gold thing happened which is why you could see no body taking him serious about maxwell lord being a manic and getting whacked! So up until he met booster he rocked!

I'd rather Ted be around as Blue Beetle than the Guyver rip off quota kid they have now.

I quite like Jaime under certain writers' pens, but I definitely don't see why Ted has to remain dead for Jaime to stick around. It's even more obnoxious that he's effectively been wiped from continuity so that Jaime can now be the only Blue Beetle.

Yeah, I kind of agree there. This is kind of a chance to really bring back the Ted Kord version of the Blue Beetle. They couldn't have him still around to kind of mentor the newer Blue Beetle? Or at least have them work together in some capacity?

While DC has done some really great things with this reboot they have really screwed the pooch in certain areas.

Probably figured it'd be counter to their focus on keeping things simple for new readers. New readers might be like, "Why's this old white dude teaching Jaime how to use his powers?"

I can see that but I don't think comic companies are giving newer readers the benefit of the doubt. Especially these days with message boards and wikipedia, etc.

I'm extremely new to the DC Universe, sort of. I remember buying that Countdown issue where Ted is investigating and finds out Max Lord is a crazy person and gets the bullet to the brain...I knew NOTHING about Ted Kord but it was written well enough that I actually cared about him when he did die.

So, it's really all about how it's written and I think it could be done.

They coulda at least put him in JLI. Just Ted Kord. Maybe as the guy who funds the team.

That's kind of lame, though. They're doing that with Ray Palmer in Frankenstein and I'm just left wondering why. He's just some dude if Ryan Choi is the one and only Atom ever.

It's better than nonexistence, and at least we'd get some Bwahaha's. :(

I guess that's true. I'm still disappointed no one's done a Ralph and Sue Dibny: Ghost Detectives story.

Cuz somehow, Identity Crisis stayed in continuity, even though all of the JLA's history now gets crammed into 5 years. :o

Seriously, they shoulda just did a full reboot. This pick and choose boos**t is ridiculous.
