Mannnn in the comic book of commandments. it says right here and i quote:
" He who so everth wearth a 70's style collar shall Rocketh most Hard!!"

Hourman has no such collar!

Yeah, but Hourman's got a Timeship. That pretty much trumps a collar.

what!!! come on Anubis man though i dig Hourman too! nothing trumps a rocking collar!
chicks cant see your timeship or that you drive a bentley in a nightclub.. but they can see you have rocking threads on! hahaha:cwink:

The ability to take chicks to party with famous dead people trumps all else. Ask Dr. Who.

Who??

(this could steadly and very easliy turn into "Abbott and Costello's famous" who's on 1st, whats on second" comic routine but since time and more importantly corp1 would get mad at me!i will say that was perfect comic timing if ever i saw one and that we could take this show on the road anubis)

Well, that's it for the Master Exploder.

i aint even going to lie. i use to hate Ralph and sue was just his tag along girlfriend. He had a stupid name, Mister Fantatsic and Plas were better. Plus this cat had to drink stuff to stretch( i usually have to drink stuff to be with ugly chic..umm never mind!) but identity Crisis when my boy's face couldn't hold it's shape after his girl got whacked was some sad ass &^%$. That stuff almost had me tearing,it was so sad.I am also like that ^%$# that went down with Sue was hella wrong!all that made me seriously dig him. (making out with the straw dummy underneath a bridge was creepy though).. but Elongated Man and his babe rocks!!

no idea who they are.

Does that help?

I love em. They were one of the best couples in comics. Damn shame they aren't being used in the new continuity. As ghost detectives or otherwise.

Ralph is also severely underrated. Second only to Batman as a Detective.

Identity Crisis was a trainwreck of a story, but probably it's biggest flaw is that Ralph was a perhiphery character in what was, at least in theory, the story of his wife's murder. When a detective character doesn't even get the chance to solve his own wife's murder, you know the writer's don't respect him.

However I did like how he screwed over Necron and Faust at the end of 52. Crazy like a fox.

Retconning that piece of crap out and bringing Ralph and Sue back would be one of the best things DC could do with the DCnU.

Leaving it alone and doing Ralph and Sue Dibny: Ghost Detectives would be acceptable as well. I firmly believe that everyone can use more plucky husband-and-wife crime-solving duos.

Yeah, while I would rather they dumped it out of existence and Ralph and Sue were back to their old selves, Ghost Detectives would have been a nice addition to the Dark line.

It'd have to be relatively light-hearted, and not dark for the sake of being dark. The Dibny's have earned that, at least.

I'm thinking Scooby Doo with some really sick looking monsters that are actually monsters.

I wouldn't mind the Ghost Detectives thing as long as they died in a way that is not so horrid. And if they're alive, he doesn't even need to be Elongated Man-they can just be a lighthearted detective duo and play up the Dick Van Dyke show-style bit.

I like the fact that Batman would pay attention when Ralph started to solve a mystery.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Agreed 100%.

For me they kind of go into the category of characters that became more relevant cuz they died then anything else.

It took them dying for people to notice the potential that was wasted kind of like Ted Kord.

Think about it...the story that really made people take notice of them was when they died.

^ what stallion said. The hate for ID crisis is strong here, but for years before that.. freaking elongated man was a clown who nobody cared for.It took that story to bring him to the attention of people and now its like the red headed step child! i dug ID crisis... it sure as hell was better than that &^%$ piece of trash (*&^ "Secret Invasion!!!"

I always liked him and felt he was underrated. Identity Crisis made me sick.

like i mentioned before Kuro i thought he sucked ,but just that scene of him trying to hold his face together was awesome! it showed how much he cared for her and that without her he couldn't hold it together. you could feel that &^%$! A great ass scene.. jean loring could have a made a great villain with intimate knowledge of the other heroes lives but instead Dc dropped the ball on that! and like great pieces of work rather you love it or hate. if it illicits a feeling then it's done its job. All Secret Invasion did was make me stop buying comics for awhile!
