Oh yeah, I remember him. He was one of those awesome characters that everybody forgot about or ignored cuz Spider-Man or the X-Men.

I dig him. He should have a book again. Also, the Slingers.

That picture actually makes him look super cool (unlike he normally looks). Like the basic idea of him. He, Darkhawk, and the New Warriors really stick out in my mind as classic 90s properties that were huge and then sank into oblivion

yeah his regular design is pretty lame xD. This one is by Marco Checchetto from Avenging Spider-Man and made me wish there was a Sleepwalker ongoing or at least a mini t:

I liked Ghost in Thunderbolts. Cool character though they played up his gross factor too much for me

I love me some Ghost, prob the best Iron Man villain IMO.

He was totally different visually during his days of being an Iron Man villain.

I loved the reworked version of him in Dark Reign/T-Bolts. He's pretty much dropped off the face of the planet which is a shame. I'd like to see him become a Marvel Universe mainstay villain.

Yeah i love his redesign too. I prefer him more as kind of an anti-hero cause he wasn't really that villanoius in thunderbolts he only really hated Stark and big corporations and he mostly did good things

More or less my take too. Though I really liked the whole, Pro's Pro/Merc thing they had him as on the IRON MAN: ARMORED ADVENTURES toon. I liked the design there too.

I know him mostly from the 90s cartoon where he predates the Green Goblin. In that context, he at least has the benefit of being first. Either way, the Green Goblin strikes me as clearly superior (although I like Hobgoblin's costume better).

In the comics, my understanding is the biggest thing about the Hobgoblin is the mystery of who he was. With that, his character was hurt by changing writers who didn't communicate with each other, so the storyline was left to hang and was retconned at least once to the point that nobody cared by the time it was resolved.

So I would say he was a good effort, but he's obviously never going to surpass the original.

I must need to read more Spidy comics. There was more than one Goblin?

He was never meant to surpass the original. He was never just a copy of gobby he was his own thing and he was nearly as mcuh as a threat. This guy way great crepy coldblooded and very intimidating. Can't wait for his mini during Axis.

Pretty much just know him from the 90s cartoon, during which I really liked him. Never read him in the comics.

I always liked Hobgobin. At first he seems like a GG rip-off, but he honestly does his own thing. He's constatnyl brainwashed people to take his place to continue living in secret and luxury, he's raided and revamped Goblins' tech, he was even smart enough to alter his formula so it gives him everything except the madness.
Heck, sometimes I prefer him over GG.
