Mandarin is a cool villain

Loved the movie version

Before seeing the movie I thought "why change his nation?"

The first part if IM3 with The 'Mandarin' was really cool. I hated how they changed it midway for a cheap twist.

I haven't read much with the actual Mandarin besides a really old comic when he wore the goofy purple helmet and the event with all the dragons that left him with his hands blown off.

The only iconic iron man villain. After him ,the only other ones anyone knows about are basically evil versions of either tony stark or iron man.

They need to branch the Mandarin out to other people. I'm bored of him being up Iron Man's ass all the time. He's as bad as Osborn was for Spider-Man in the late 90's.

I remember reading an issue of Avengers during Acts of Vengeance where he teamed up with the Wizard and took on the Avengers in a huge fight in the middle of Avengers park. It was f***ing awesome.

dude was cool and all that with the Robes and stuff and then we get Ben coming out the bathroom saying "dont go in there for a hour!" and dont get me started on that "Joker batman 89 "you made me!" Jack Napier villain stuff for the big reveal which was so lame!
whew!... okay... so.. to summarize

Anyway, he's cool I guess. Haven't read much with him but from what I have read, he's an interesting villain.

I think Mandarin should be part of a new Bad Ass Master's of Evil as a counter point to Baron Zemo. I like the character to the extent I like any Iron Man rogue, which is to say I think the potential for real greatness is there, but the stories have been not optimal, shall we say? Getting him away from Stark for a while and have him be built up as a menace for the wider world or another hero or team would be good. He's as much a racist caricature today as any other Marvel villain from the time, which is to say, not much. He's been with resources and riches and he's been without. For Zod sake, he's been without HANDS! Guys seen some ****. You'd think that could be mined for SOMETHING.

I like him but am really unclear as to what stories were in continuity and which stories were out for a while. So, he dies in ELEKTRA LIVES AGAIN, seems to also die in Anne Nocennti's run when he impersonates DD, but in the CAP story STREETS OF POISON he appears to have been imprisoned after the classic Miller stories and is attempting a break out when we are introduced to him. Welp... Any way, I love me some BE. He's a sleazy *****e with a superiority complex and it seems no morals what so ever. That's a great combo for a super villain. I love the power set and it goes along well with his devil may care attitude. Classically he's a DD foe, but I like the idea of a rivalry between him and Clint too. I'd actually like to see him go another round with Crossbones like in STREETS OF POISON. That was just an awesome fight. Has he ever crossed paths with either Taskmaster or Deadpood? Either of those could be interesting. All in all, BE is solid homicidal maniac type of villain.

Remember that time he was hired to assassinate Kingpin, and then accepted more money from Kingpin to betray his former employees? That moment is hilarious
I love him as a Deadpool villain more than I like him as a DareDevil villain. It's a surprise he walked after Deadpool stepping on Bullseye's knees with his truck

The Mandarin -- I'm with runawayboulder, I liked the movie version. t: But, then again, I've never really cared about Iron Man, or his villains, in the comics.

Bullseye -- One of my favorite villains. Just a complete psycho. Whenever I read a Daredevil story with him, I feel like it elevates it. When I see that first panel with him in it, my first reaction is always "S**ts about to go down."

Bullseye is a complete badass. How many villains can say that they successfully killed not one, but two of their archenemy's greatest love's?

Mandarin - I like him when he's not an racist caricature. And how come this guy never acomplished anything big? lokk at the power set of his rings he could take down all of the avengers easily. I like what Gillen did with the rings in his current Iron Man run where he made them sentient and they went looking for invidual hosts which had a grudge against stark

Bullseye - Great villain, i agree that when see you him in a DD story you know ****t is going to go down, i always liked villains that are very full of them and have no moral compase whatsoever, it's weird how someone like carnage dosent work while bullseye does so much. I liked his mini during dark reign just being an evil dickk, I wish more villain minis/ongoings would do that instead of trying to make them symphathetic and having a good side.

Because Carnage is just flashy loudness, a poorly handled limited use character who HAS been overused and wore out his welcome by being used in stories that generally made little use of this two-dimensional character, who's greatest achievement will always be the sucktacular Maximum Carnage bs, while Bullseye has actually done stuff in his career, notable stuff, and has been used very well in stories. Both are crazy sociopaths, but one results in good stories and the other is just a poor man's Venom wrapped around a poor man's Joker.

No of course not you just answered my question an i totally agree with everything you said. Im not a fan o carnage either they keep trying to make him relevant but it never works, all the mini-series they did in the last few years with him, nothing interesting there. He has one last chance to redeem himself as a character and that's during AXIS he might actually be used well there cause i trust Remender.

I like Bullseye. They should use him very sparingly against Daredevil though because with how they fight and how aggressively one of them should die almost every time they fight, and they're running out of girls in DD's life to have Bullseye kill.

I actually liked the movie version, he captured the character well exept for the fact that he was irish xD. That whole movie is dumb but remember the part where he asks kingpin for a costume and what does he get? an leather jacket? I never got that part.

Oh **** yeah! I love me some Jack Flag he was great in Guardians of the Galaxy being the everyman in there who hated being in space but couldnt go back to earth. One of the main reasons i hate Bendis's guradians is because he's going safe with the team roster he only has the movie guardians and well known characters from earth like Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Venom. No obscure ones that would actually fit more like Moondragon, Bug, Vance Astro, Cosmo, Mantis and Jack Flag. It's a shame really and the characters he uses he has no idea how to write! Their's a line in one issue where star-lord says to Drax that one of the things hes not good at is stealth and Im like wtf remember the issue of the Abnett/Lanning run where he sneaks around "Knowhere" to do something that kills everybody on board for 3 seconds to see where the skrulls are cause skrulls only revert back to their real form when they're dead. He was stealthy as a mother****er in there and I'm pretty sure he did some stealth during Annihilation too. Im sorry for going on such an off-topic rant but Bendis frustrates the ****t out of me.
